Happy Monday Sackets Harbor Central School and !

To start the week off, we wanted to share some of the highlights from last week's Teacher Appreciation activities. Thank you to those of you who were able to participate and give our teachers some extra love. 🥰

Thanks again to Chrissy Beanz Bakery for spoiling us with coffee and treats and to the Spanish Club for the lovely Cinco de Mayo decor!

Tomorrow is the first day of Teacher Appreciation Week, and we are excited to show our gratitude to the fabulous teachers and staff at our school who are changing lives every day! Take a look at the flyers for more details.

Want to help out? Here's how:
- Tomorrow- send in some uplifting words of appreciation and affirmation 🩷
- On Thursday, send in some school supplies with some of teachers' most requested items (see list in flyer below) ✏️
- On Friday, students can create/pick a flower for their teacher, or bring in their favorite treat 🌺

TEACHERS - Chrissy Beanz is offering a 10% discount all week at both locations with your ID so you can also treat yourself! 😘

We are in the home stretch of our ‘Be the Good' fundraiser! We hope that you have been inspired to come up with new and creative ways to spread kindness throughout the community and have been enjoying some of the activities on the calendar! Haven't started yet? No problem! It's not too late! Funds aren’t due to be turned in until next week, so you still have some time to get kindness out there!

Your participation will have a huge impact - check out the chart below to see how quickly the kindness adds up! Students do not have to complete the entire calendar to participate. Funds collected help the PTO continue to be able to give back to the school community. We can't wait to learn about all of the kindness that has been spreading!

Additionally, next Friday, May 8th we have a special final act of kindness that we are excited to present! We have partnered with Raymour & Flanigan to host a special event from 5p - 7p at their store. They will be providing a special Mother’s Day craft for you to create, as well as some snacks! You can also bring in any funds that have not been turned in during the week at that time.

ALL ARE WELCOME! We look forward to seeing you all there and can’t wait to see the creativity you bring!

Our April Monthly Meetup is tomorrow at 4pm in the MPR - hope to see you there! Mary Mac Kay will be helping out with childcare in the nearby teacher's lounge.

Hello Sackets Harbor Central School and !

Our next monthly meetup will be held next Thursday - April 23rd at 4pm in the MPR. We are excited to share that our Community Schools Coordinator, Mary Mac Kay, will be taking the kids to have some fun elsewhere in the building after checking in at the MPR, so we parents can be distraction free. 😁

We're looking forward to brainstorming some fun ways to honor our teachers next month - please come with all your ideas!

We'll also add a link to this post to join virtually if you're unable to make it. See you then!

And don't forget:
- We have our April 'Be the Good' fundraiser going on through the end of April - spread that kindness!
- Our Hannaford Helps Schools initiative is currently running through May 30. Link your account and earn money for our school!
