Meet Gavin! 🐾

Seriously, how is this sweet boy still here? With that adorable face, we thought people would be lining up to meet him!😍

At 11 months old, Gavin is playful, loving, and always ready for an adventure. He does great with other dogs, loves kids, and enjoys getting out and about. Most of all, he loves cuddling up with his favorite people.

Kitten season is here, and we’re feeling the impact.🐱

As much as we wish we could take in every kitten that comes through our doors, we simply can’t without the space to care for them. When our kennels are full, we have no choice but to say no.

The good news? You can help make a lasting difference.

Outdoor cats and kittens are incredibly resilient—we see proof of that every day in Henderson’s growing community cat population. If you feed an outdoor cat, let’s get them spayed or neutered. Found kittens? Once they reach 2 pounds, they can be fixed too.

The only way to reduce the stray cat population is through spay and neuter. We even provide transportation to a low-cost clinic to make it easier.

A room full of passionate people with one shared goal: making a difference for pets and the people who love them.

Last week, our Board of Directors and Executive Director spent time reflecting on where we are today and where we want to go tomorrow. We discussed what we're doing well, where we can improve, and how we can continue serving Henderson’s pets and pet parents for years to come.

The future of Henderson Humane Society is shaped by the decisions we make today, and we're excited about what lies ahead. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. 🐾❤️
