📍Evansville, Indiana Matthew 25 AIDS Services, Inc. is one of only two comprehensive HIV/AIDS clinics in Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky (the other one is in Paducah, KY, two (2) hours away from our Henderson clinic). Matthew 25 operates medical clinic locations in both Indiana and Kentucky, providing early interve

ntion specialty HIV/AIDS medical care, medication adherence programs, food pantry, transportation, indigent medication program, referral services, counseling and testing services, education and information in Vanderburgh County, IN, Henderson County, KY and Daviess County, KY. In Kentucky counties only, we additionally provide support services such as support groups, several housing programs and care coordination services provided by three medical case managers covering 25 counties. We have become a leader in the Tri-State in HIV counseling and testing, partner counseling, and resource linking and treatment. Dedicated to holistic care, we treat the whole person, not just the disease. We recognize that HIV/AIDS is a real disease affecting real people. Real(istic) prevention and treatment is the only way to fight the continuing spread of HIV. Through holistic care and support services, Matthew 25 strives to reduce the number of new HIV infections and improve the quality of life for those already fighting HIV/AIDS. Through our care coordination efforts which span twenty-five (25) counties in Western Kentucky, we are able to offer our clients supportive services that can help with insurance premiums, housing and utility assistance, transportation, nutritional supplements and groceries, medication assistance, and mental health, dental and vision services. This coupled with excellent specialized medical care greatly improves their chances to enjoy full productive lives for many years. A diagnosis of HIV/AIDS is not the death sentence it once was years ago. While there have been many advances in the treatment of HIV, many still battle stigma and barriers to education and safer s*x behaviors. We, at Matthew 25, strive to give our clients the tools they need to make better life choices, while medically treating their disease in the most supportive and dignified atmosphere possible.

Supporting Matthew 25 means you are supporting your neighbors.
We are all HIV possible. That's why offering free HIV tests and connecting those living with HIV is important to us. HIV has changed. The way we talk about it should too.
Get tested for HIV at any Matthew 25 Clinic location or attend one of our fundraising events to get involved in our mission.

We thought we would share this piece of Nathan’s interview for our upcoming video project this month to highlight what recovery from addiction can look like. We are so honored to be able to uplift Nathan and share his story. Thank you for your vulnerability and dedication to Matthew 25. You continue to inspire those you work alongside and those who hear your story.

According to HarmReduction. org there are 20-40% fewer fatal overdoses from opioids where community-based naloxone distribution programs operate. That's why we offer Harm Reduction. We have the tools to prevent fatal overdose deaths, so we want to make sure they are accessible.
Find our harm reduction vending machines at United Caring Services, Patchwork Central, and a smaller box at Saint Vincent de Paul in Evansville. You can find harm reduction supplies at all our clinic locations and community pop ups. đź’™

As we celebrate 30 years of care, courage and community we are working on a special project highlighting the story and roots of our nonprofit organization. Matthew 25 has been providing HIV care since 1996. Courtney Woolfork, CEO, sat down with us to chat about what makes us different as a health organization.

A day in the life at Matthew 25 means getting out into the community and making sure our partners know exactly how we can help.

Today, we had the opportunity to connect with social workers at Owensboro Health to share more about Matthew 25’s programs, services and referral process.

Social workers are some of our favorite community partners because, just like us, they are meeting individuals directly where they are.

By getting Matthew 25 materials and referral information directly into their hands, we can help ensure individuals who may benefit from our services are connected to care and support as quickly as possible.

Today is National Women's Equality Day. We know the stigma that "HIV does not affect women", but that is a myth we are trying to bust. The truth is that HIV does not discriminate. Women need to know about HIV prevention too.

Does HIV affect women?
Yes. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in 2022, 18% of the new HIV diagnoses in the United States and dependent areas were among women. In addition, 56% of women with HIV are Black/African American.
The most common way that women get HIV is through s*x with a male partner who has HIV without using a condom. Most women who have HIV know that they are HIV positive, but some women are not getting the HIV care and treatment they need according to HIV. gov.
