🌳 Park Spotlight: Timothy A. Wielgus Memorial Park 🌳

This week we're featuring Timothy A. Wielgus Memorial Park, a special neighborhood park located at the end of South Street in the cul-de-sac in Hebron.

While it may be one of our smaller parks, it offers plenty of fun for families with swings, a baby swing, monkey bars, a climbing wall, a merry-go-round, picnic tables, and benches. It's the perfect place to spend an afternoon enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.

The park was dedicated in memory of Timothy A. Wielgus, whose life continues to inspire our community. Timothy was remembered for his compassionate heart, caring spirit, and incredible courage. Despite facing significant health challenges from juvenile arthritis, he rarely complained and instead chose to inspire others through his strength and determination.

Timothy served as the Youth Ambassador and spokesperson for the American Juvenile Arthritis Foundation, using his voice to bring hope and awareness to countless families. In recognition of his selfless efforts and remarkable character, he was honored as the 1997 Young Indiana Hero.

Tragically, Timothy's life was cut short in a fatal car accident, but his legacy of kindness, courage, and service lives on. Timothy A. Wielgus Memorial Park stands as a lasting tribute to a young man who showed us all what it means to face adversity with grace and to always put others first.

πŸ“ Location: End of South Street, Hebron, Indiana

We invite you to stop by, enjoy this beautiful neighborhood park, and take a moment to remember the inspiring young man whose legacy it honors.

Have you visited Timothy A. Wielgus Memorial Park? We'd love to see your photos or hear your favorite memories in the comments. ❀️

🌳 Park Spotlight: Brian Novreske Memorial Park πŸ’™

This week we're highlighting Brian Novreske Memorial Park, located at 505 Church Street in Hebron.

This special neighborhood park was dedicated in memory of Brian Novreske, a 16-year-old Hebron High School student and member of the Hebron Youth Bowling League who courageously battled brain cancer before passing away in October 2013. His memory lives on through a park that continues to bring smiles, laughter, and joy to children and families every day.

Brian Novreske Memorial Park is one of Hebron's most family-friendly parks, especially for our youngest visitors. The park features:
πŸ› A large toddler play area with age-appropriate playground equipment
πŸ‘Ά Swings, baby swings, a slide, jungle gym, and merry-go-round
🧺 Picnic tables and benches for families to relax and enjoy the outdoors
β™Ώ An ADA-compliant pavilion with wheelchair accessibility, making it welcoming and accessible for everyone to gather and enjoy.

Whether you're looking for a safe place for little ones to play, a quiet spot to enjoy lunch, or a place to make lasting family memories, Brian Novreske Memorial Park is a wonderful destination.

As we enjoy this beautiful park, we also remember the young man whose legacy continues to make a positive impact on our community. It serves as a reminder that even through life's greatest challenges, a person's spirit can continue to bring happiness to others for years to come.
