Our One-Day Prom Shop Drive-Thru Donation Drive is happening today, and we'd love to see you there!

If you have a formal dress, suit, pair of dress shoes, or jewelry that's been sitting in your closet waiting for a second chance to shine, bring it by and help make prom possible for local students.

We're collecting:
✨ Prom & Homecoming Dresses
✨ Suits & Suit Separates
✨ Dress Shoes
✨ Jewelry & Accessories

Simply drive through, drop off your donation, and we'll take care of the rest!

Every item donated helps us stock our Prom Shops, where students can select formalwear at no cost and experience all the excitement of prom without the financial burden.

Last season, our Prom Shops distributed more than 1,200 formalwear items to local students. With your help today, we'll be ready to create even more special memories in the year ahead.

Tomorrow is our One-Day Prom Shop Drive-Thru Donation Drive!

Every year, local students dream of attending prom, but the cost of dresses, suits, shoes, and accessories can put that experience out of reach. Thanks to generous community donations, The Caring Link helps remove those barriers and gives students the opportunity to celebrate this milestone with confidence.

Every blood donation made during this event helps support The Caring Link's Book Fairy Program, which ensures students in need can shop at their school book fairs right alongside their classmates.

Last year, our Book Fairy Program helped more than 1,400 local students select and take home books of their own—building confidence, encouraging literacy, and creating memories that last long after the book fair ends.

A single blood donation can help save lives. Through this partnership, it can also help put books into the hands of children who may otherwise go without.

💙🔨 A huge thank you to the incredible youth group from Flint River Baptist Church for spending their Day of Service with The Caring Link!

These amazing young people brought positive attitudes, servant hearts, and an incredible work ethic to our headquarters—and the results were nothing short of amazing.

In just a few hours, they:
🛠️ Built 12 shoe shelves
🛠️ Constructed 2 room dividers
🛠️ Assembled a school supply shelf
🛠️ Built a storage cabinet
👟 Sorted and counted more than 100 pairs of shoes
🧦 Organized socks and underwear
👕 Folded clothing
📦 Assisted with countless other projects throughout our facility

Their willingness to jump in wherever needed and tackle every task with enthusiasm made a tremendous impact on our ability to serve local students.

Because of their hard work, we are better prepared to distribute clothing, shoes, school supplies, and hygiene products to children across Madison County through our Care Closets and New Beginnings program.

Most importantly, these students demonstrated what it means to serve others with kindness, humility, and joy. The future is bright with young people like these leading the way.

We are currently collecting donations through June 30th for both our Prom Shop and Toiletries Drive. New or gently used formalwear helps students attend Homecoming and Prom feeling confident, included, and ready to celebrate life's special milestones. Donations of new hygiene and personal care items help us provide personalized hygiene kits to students in our New Beginnings program, ensuring they start the new school year equipped with essential items and the confidence to thrive.

👗 Prom Shop donations can be dropped off at:
• Huntsville City Schools Central Office
• Landers McLarty Subaru
• The Caring Link Headquarters (just put items in our front porch deck box)

🚗 Need a convenient option? Join us for our drive-thru donation event THIS Saturday from 9:30 AM–1:00 PM at the Huntsville Museum of Art (Williams Street roundabout).

🧼 Toiletry donations can be dropped off at any of the four Focus Physiotherapy locations in Huntsville and Madison.

Behind every number we share, every progress graphic we post, and every milestone we celebrate is something far more important:

A child.

A child who is worried about starting school without clothes that fit.

A child who doesn't have a stable place to live, much less stable resources.

A child who is embarrassed because they don't have basic hygiene products.

A child who wants to participate, belong, learn, and dream just like every other student.

The children we serve through New Beginnings are not nameless, faceless statistics. They are real kids with real challenges, real hopes, and incredible potential waiting to be unlocked.

In this video, our President shares why New Beginnings matters—and why the resources we provide are about so much more than clothing, shoes, backpacks, and toiletries. They are about confidence. Dignity. Opportunity. And ensuring that every child has the chance to start the school year ready to succeed.
