🚒 Week in Review | Moores Mill Fire Rescue

It was another busy week for the members of Moores Mill Fire Rescue, responding to 67 calls for service to help protect our community and those around us.

House Fire Response
Our crews assisted Meridianville Volunteer Fire Department and Hazel Green Volunteer Fire Department on a residential structure fire. We’re proud to work alongside our neighboring departments and continue building strong mutual-aid relationships.

Multiple Cardiac Arrest Responses
Our members also responded to multiple cardiac arrest calls throughout the week. These incidents highlight the importance of continued training, rapid response, and teamwork between fire, EMS, and our community partners.

Confined Space Training
Our members participated in specialized confined-space training alongside Toney Volunteer Fire & Rescue, utilizing the Alabama Fire College Confined Space Trailer. Training like this allows our firefighters to sharpen their skills and prepare for challenging, technical incidents before they happen.

67 calls. Multiple agencies. Countless hours of training and service.

Our volunteers continue to answer the call, day or night, while balancing their families, careers, and everyday responsibilities. We’re proud of the men and women who continue to dedicate their time to serving our community.

Week in Review

It was another busy and productive week for our volunteers, with 56 emergency calls for service so far, keeping our crews on the move.

Tuesday proved to be an especially demanding day, as our members responded to two working structure fires while battling extreme conditions with heat indexes exceeding 100 degrees. Despite the challenging weather, our crews worked hard along side our neighboring departments to protect lives and property and support our community when they needed us most.

This week also marked the addition of a new support vehicle, which will be officially placed into service in the coming days. This vehicle will provide an important resource for our department and help us continue improving the service we provide to our community.

Along with responding to emergencies, our members continued to invest in the future of the department and well being of the community through new member training. Building knowledge, developing skills, and preparing our newest firefighters is an important part of maintaining a strong and capable department.

We are proud of the dedication our volunteers continue to show—answering the call, training, preparing, and serving our community whenever they are needed.

We’re always looking for more people who want to make a difference. You don’t have to be a firefighter or have prior experience to get started. If you’re willing to learn, serve your community, and be part of something bigger than yourself, we’d love to have you join our team.

🚨 Quick Check: Do You Know Your Fire District? 🚨

Hi neighbors! Central Fire/Ems had a great idea and we want to piggyback and keep the knowledge going!

We’re reaching out to make sure everyone in our area knows which fire department district they belong to. It can be confusing since you often see multiple fire departments arriving on incident scenes.

If you’re unsure whether you’re in our district, no worries! Just reply to this post via private message with your address. We’ll quickly confirm what fire department is your primary (first due) and let you know.

Last night, our members spent the evening working on booster-backup operations. Training like this helps us strengthen our water supply operations, improve teamwork, and stay prepared for the next call.

We appreciate everyone who came out and dedicated their time to becoming better firefighters for our community.

🚑 EMR Class in Action! 🚑

Our members are continuing their Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) training, working through hands-on skills and practical scenarios as they prepare to serve our community. From patient assessments and splinting to airway management and emergency care techniques, these students are building the knowledge and confidence needed to respond when seconds count.

We are proud of the dedication and hard work these members are putting in as they take the next step in their emergency services journey. Thank you to our instructors and volunteers who make this training possible!
