A retired local deputy’s house burned down to the ground in the middle of the night. Thankfully his alarm went off and he got out with only what he was wearing.

He lost everything - house, property, cars, and his beloved cat.

WE NEED MORE OF THIS IN THE WORLD!

A 4-year-old heard that an officer had a bad day and then asked: Do officers have a stuffed animal to hug when they’re sad? When told they didn’t, Miles offered his own — and when those ran out, he insisted more be purchased.

His family founded their own nonprofit, Rhinos for Rockstars, and has delivered over 4,500 stuffed rhinos to remind cops they’re not alone… Thank you Miles!

When 4-year-old Miles overheard a conversation about a police officer who had a difficult day, he asked a simple question: Do officers have a stuffed animal to hug when they’re sad?

Last October, we had the incredible honor of meeting former POW Jessica Lynch — an experience neither Eric nor I will ever forget. Jessica Lynch former POW

Eric was part of the mission that rescued Jessica and was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor for his role. Standing there together, years later, was truly surreal and deeply meaningful.

Jessica was incredibly kind and gracious, and today she continues to give back by helping fellow veterans in her home state of West Virginia.

Moments like this are powerful reminders of courage, resilience, and the lifelong bonds formed through service. 🇺🇸

MEG is sharing this fundraiser in honor of Officer Terry Bennett of the Washington Metropolitan Police Dept. Terry made the ultimate sacrifice, and his wife and child now need the support of the community he served so selflessly.

The owners of Heroic Thread, running this fundraiser are dear friends of mine and both DC first responders (Cop & FF). This effort comes straight from the heart and directly supports Officer Bennett’s family.
