As Childhood Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end, our commitment to these children and their families does not. 💛

For families facing childhood cancer, the journey doesn’t end when September does. The appointments continue. The treatments continue. The uncertainty continues. And so must our support.

At The Still Place, we believe awareness is more than a month on the calendar. It’s choosing, every day, to listen to these families, share their stories, support them through the hard days, and remind them that they are not alone.

September may be ending, but we will keep raising awareness, offering hope, and standing beside families impacted by childhood cancer all year long. 💛

What an amazing Still Your Mom retreat we had this past weekend. It was our last one of the year and we could not be more pleased. While we wish there was not a need for these retreats, how we wish a parent never lost a child, that is not the reality in which we live. We are so grateful to the supporters in our community, to Charlie’s Heart Foundation and Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope for making this all possible.

Go Gold the rest of September!!

September is childhood cancer awareness month, and one way to show your support is to "go gold". Spread the word, raise awareness, and let's do everything we can to beat this!

At The Still Place, one way we care for childhood cancer patients is offering retreats for these children and their families with all expenses paid. This is a time for them to escape the stresses of day-to-day life, experience nature, spend quality time together, and have the time to rest.

Such a special weekend at our Still Your Mom retreat. These ladies come from all over and are complete strangers to one another but they leave as family 😊 we are hosting our final SYM retreat of 2026 this coming up weekend. Another successful pasta making experience with Alessandra during our Still Your Mom retreat. The moms had such a great time learning new things and of course, seeing the animals. So grateful for this experience!!

As children, despite inspiring us, their voices are small, and they need us to speak up for them. They need our gold, real gold, through improved funding, awareness and support from government, research, insurance and pharmaceutical companies. THIS Saturday is the day (9/12/26)--ALL DAY!!!! A portion of all proceeds will go to benefit The Still Place, a non-profit organization located right here in Hayesville. TSP offers families with seriously ill children, free retreats so they can escape the hospital stays and doctor appointments and all the things that are involved with raising a seriously ill child, for just a little while to enjoy time and create memories with their family. We also offer retreats for Moms and Dads who have lost a child and for Moms who are long term caregivers for their seriously ill child.
So, if you're like me, you like to look at the menu before you go. You know...kinda get a little plan in place! So viola' the menu is just a click away! Go for Brunch 11-2, go for wings and the game, go for dinner...whatever you do, just go!! And thank you for your continued support--our community is always so good to us!
