General Information
Who: Youth with disabilities ages 4–30 are welcome. No prior basketball experience is needed. Participants will engage in specialized drills tailored to their abilities. Registration is free. Our trained instructors, coaches, and volunteers will provide all equipment and support, just come ready to have fun!
Volunteers: Volunteers must be 15 or older. We welcome both experienced and first-time volunteers. All volunteers are required to review our guidelines and attend a mandatory briefing call prior to the clinic.
Parents/Guardians: A parent or guardian must remain on-site throughout the clinic. If you’d like to volunteer alongside your child, please register as a volunteer.

Event Details
What: A 90-minute adaptive basketball clinic featuring structured, ability-based drills led by trained volunteers and instructors. Light snacks will be provided at the end of the clinic.
When: Saturday, August 15
• Volunteer check-in: 11:00 AM
• Participant/family check-in: 11:15 AM
• Clinic: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is pleased to offer the following training opportunity “OPWDD Eligibility and Waiver Application” on June 2, 2026 from 2-3:30 pm. This webinar is designed to provide foundational knowledge on the three crucial areas for accessing OPWDD’s service system which include Establishing OPWDD Eligibility, Medicaid, and the Waiver Application process. Health Home Serving Children care managers and other children’s stakeholders will gain an understanding of their role in assisting children, youth, and their families interested in OPWDD’s service system.
