This Sunday night we are gathering with a few other area churches to bring students a special experience to draw near to the presence of God through music and worship.. in a space that’s just for them. Join us. You belong here.

Being ghosted hurts. It leaves you wondering if anyone sees you, understands you, or cares about what you’re carrying. But Jesus promised that God’s Spirit would never disappear or abandon us. Though unseen, the Spirit shows up in real ways—meeting us in the silence, reminding us we’re not alone, and helping us feel seen when we feel invisible. During this four-week series from the New Testament, students will be reminded that when we feel forgotten, God’s Spirit comforts us; when we feel powerless, God’s Spirit gives us strength; when we feel lost, God’s Spirit guides us; and when we feel unimportant, God’s Spirit helps us make a difference. We are so excited for Sunday night student ministry to be back this Sunday, September 20! We’ll see you at 5 for Preservice games and snacks, and at 6 for regular programming!

We are in Athens, Ohio serving on a work crew with Good Works! We are working in Kid’s Club, mowing yards, power washing, painting decks, and splitting wood. We have enjoyed serving in their Neighbors Helping Neighbors program which services community members who need extra assistance. Last night, we visited the Timothy House which is a home for people experiencing homelessness. We enjoyed a conversation with Keith, the founder of Good Works.

Because of the thunderstorms, we ended up at Craig’s Cruisers instead of the beach on Sunday for our end of the year party. We had a great time together celebrating the end of another school year.
