We are a group of men and women that gather regularly to learn and teach woodcarving - we work primarily with hand chisels and knives on various projects, including birds, other animals, and caricatures. We are open to the public, and participate in community venues to teach and demonstrate carving. We are a 501 C 7 non-profit organization - we accept donations, but donations are not tax-deductible.

A recent day trip to the annual Evart Woodcarver’s Roundup by a few of our club members, resulted with a meeting of old friends and new. Numerous instructors were busy teaching and sharing tips and ideas for wood carving and pyrography. Lots of wood, blanks, tools and books were available for purchase. A raffle of many items completed the day before heading home.

Willard C brought in a shoe carving done by his father, Peter, winning him a 3rd place in 1987. Also goose carving by Fred E and a tulip done by Alex. Those little stamens were made of string dipped in glue, then into sawdust, clever, Alex.

A new batch of live edge wood for more pyrography projects, thanks to Fred E, a fellow RCRCG member.

Dan T says "This 4.5” tall Santa (minus the base) is a Floyd Rhadigan roughout and it is my 100th carving for the year! I chose this Rhadigan roughout this time because Carving on several occasions with Floyd has changed my carving life a lot. Thanks, Floyd! Onward to 101".
