We love the day that the Haslett Robotics Club comes to visit us. We got first hand demonstrations from several different teams and a chance to ask questions about how it all works. Such a great group of students. We are proud to sponsor this club!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Colin Campbell's family. As Colin's health started declining, club members made sure we had a flag flying in front of his home at all times. He was a well loved member of the Haslett community and will be missed.

A community is in mourning after the death of Colin Campbell, "Haslett Flag Man."

Campbell was well-known among the Haslett community for his dedication to America and honoring the U.S. flag.

The local icon passed away after leaving a senior care facility over the weekend.

Our club sponsors several student leadership clubs at Haslett High School, Okemos High School and Haslett Middle School. These clubs learn valuable leadership skills as they get involved with volunteer opportunities through their school and the community. Although we help support them financially we encourage them to learn how to fundraise for their projects.
The Okemos High School Key Club has a fundraiser on Monday, January 12 from 4-10pm at Raising Cane's, 301 E Grand River Avenue, East Lansing. Mention the fundraiser at the restaurant or apply code RCFUND96 to online or app orders at checkout. Cane's will donate 15% of Net Sales.

Today is ; a day when it is encouraged to donate to your favorite nonprofits as part of your holiday spending budget. The Kiwanis Club of Haslett-Okemos is proud to be able to contribute to our community in a variety a ways thanks to the many residents of Meridian township who support our Flags Over Meridian subscription program. Today we started December off by presenting a $2000 check to the Haslett Community Food Bank. During November we made donations to Scheffel Toy Project (who make wooden toys for children experiencing traumas and life circumstances), Shop-with-a-Cop in Meridian Township and purchased/delivered dictionaries to every 3rd grader in the Haslett and Okemos school system. This was in addition to other projects we sponsor and participate in. We encourage you to make a donation to your favorite nonprofit today.
If you would like to learn more about what we do in the community, you are invited to breakfast on Tuesday mornings at 7am at Blondie’s Barn. NOTE: we won’t be there next Tuesday as we have a holiday party to prepare for to benefit children who are wards of the Ingham County courts.

Lovely evening at Harris Nature Center Fundraiser. We support the center in many ways and love the many nature programs they run for our youth. We provided the funds to bring the turtle, a dragonwing seesaw, and a log crawl complete with bugs inside. This year we provided funds for transportation so that more schools in our community could come here for nature programs.

Enjoying a beautiful evening at Lake Lansing Park South at the Bandshell. We help with parking and always have a booth. Come see us and pick up a kazoo! Lively euchre games are ongoing.
