Meet Sean O’Brien – one of our WTC Award recipients for 2026.
Sean has always enjoyed hands-on learning and saw WTC as a great opportunity to build new skills. Through the program, he’s formed strong friendships and connections while preparing for his future career. He says the most impactful part has been the relationships with peers, instructors, and staff who supported him along the way. Outside of class, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, going to the gym, and spending time with friends and family. After graduation, he plans to enter the workforce at an automotive repair shop and continue growing his skills.

Meet Isiah Weatherspoon – One of our WTC Award Recipients for 2026.
Isiah chose WTC’s Automotive Program because of his passion for cars and hands-on learning. He’s developed strong technical skills, critical thinking, and work ethic, while earning multiple certifications. He especially values working with real equipment in the shop. Outside of class, he enjoys working on cars, listening to music, and playing video games. After college, he plans to pursue an apprenticeship in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC, while continuing to work on cars as a hobby.

We had the honor of awarding two senior students from the WTC Auto Tech Program, Sean O’Brien and Isiah Weatherspoon, with $550 worth of quality tools to help in their careers. This marks our 4th year presenting this award, made possible thanks to generous community donations, and it continues to be something we are incredibly proud of.

These young men were chosen by their classmates for their character, kindness, and willingness to help others—qualities that truly reflect Danny’s spirit: his humor, generosity, and empathy. May these tools help them drive their futures forward as they continue to choose kindness and lead by example.

We need more of this in the world today, and we are honored to recognize them for setting such a strong example. 💙
