Meet Mist!
Mist is one of many tortis that came from the hoarding case. She is five years old and very sweet! She gets along very well with other cats and loves all and any food! Her favorite thing right now is Bonkers Cat Nip Treat sticks. She is a big fan and so cute when she plays with them. Stop by the Hanover a PetSmart to say Hi to her!

Update on the Weymouth Hoarding Case 🐾

As of this past Sunday we are up to 52 cats being removed from outside and inside of the home. Creamsicle is the latest to be rescued. You can't tell from his photo but the smell coming off of him was horrendous. He is dehydrated, emaciated, and his rear end was completely matted with f***s. He is feeling so much better after his vet visit Sunday. You can tell he feels relief in being clean and with a full belly. He is a sweet guy and we can't wait to see him feel better each day. We are happy to say that Creamsicle is the last of the indoor cats to be caught and we can now focus on the handful of remaining cats outside.

The second photo you see here is how this all started about a month ago. We received a photo of many pregnant cats crying for food outside. This has been an enormous under taking as the majority of the cats have not been in good condition and many have been very timid and under socialized.
We want to Thank Dr Brady and everyone at the FACT clinic, Weymouth Animal Control, MVMA Charities for helping with their Veterinary care, and all of the fosters and volunteers who have stepped up to help all of these poor things.

Yay Kay!
Send positive vibes her way. She is on a trial adoption this week and we have our fingers crossed so hard for her. Key deserves this. She spent nine years living outside through harsh winters and hot summers. While she has been with us for the past two months she has learned how to go potty outside, what stairs are, how to play with toys and how glorious a couch is.
She needed a large mammary Mass removed during her spay and she is so ready to feel better and live out the rest of her years in a home.

Grimm has come SO far since he came to us. He came in extremely head shy, emaciated and dehydrated. He is turning into a more confident and healthy boy day by day. We can't believe he and all of his pals haven't had any interested adopters. adoptions have sadly been SO slow. Stop by and say Hi to him at the Hanover PetSmart!

How stinking cute is this? Riddle who is in the above cage was one of the most recent cats trapped at the hoarding site. He has been so sad and shell shocked. He had seen a few of his pals from the site but didn't seem to care. When Grimm was let out of his cage, he had a totally different reaction and was SO happy to see him!

These two boys are waiting on a home as are the many others from those sad story.

We have been trying to trap this very pregnant mama and her two kittens in Middleboro and we're finally successful today! The kittens are old enough that they will be very difficult to socialize but we are going to try. If anyone has three weeks and three hours a day to foster one. Let us know. We will teach you all of the tips and tricks!

Ring cameras and wifi hot spots are SO helpful and we were lucky enough to borrow a set up which helped this whole process along. Unfortunately we won't have the set up going forward. If anyone by chance has an active wifi hot spot that they'd be up for us borrowing for a week, get in touch! We still have one more to go at this site 🐾💜

Any Boy or Girl Scout Troops out there willing to make us a few outdoor cat houses?

We could use some help from the public making a chicken coop extra cozy for three cats that will be relocated there.
We would love to add some cat houses, astro/turf or an old rug and maybe a few old cat climbing towers.

Before and Afters are really the best!
You may remember Sterling who came to us traumatized from his previous home. We knew he wasn't feral even though he acted very much like he was. He would lash out and hiss and swat with his ears back. He was very defensive and fearful of people. With time and patience we really hoped he would learn to trust again. After months of waiting for a home, he is officially adopted! You can see his fear in the photo on the left and look at where he is today! Thank you so much to his wonderful foster home, Michelle and to his amazing adoptive home for giving him the chance he needed. Happy life Sterling!
