A great night of service, leadership, and the next generation of Rotary! 💙💛

At this week’s Hampton Area Rotary Club meeting, we were pleased to welcome Harper Babyak from Best Buddies New Hampshire. Harper is one of this year’s Champion of the Year nominees and shared with our members the important work Best Buddies is doing to create opportunities for friendship, leadership, and inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Learn more about Harper and donate to her cause at https://www.bestbuddieschampion.org/newhampshire/supporting/

We were also excited to have several members of the Winnacunnet High School Interact Club join us for the evening!

Having Harper and our Interact students with us was a great reminder of the importance of getting young people involved in their communities. Whether through Interact, Best Buddies, or other service organizations, these experiences help develop leadership skills, build connections, and inspire a lifelong commitment to Service Above Self.

Thank you, Harper, for joining us and sharing your story, and thank you to our Winnacunnet Interact members for spending the evening with us. The future of community service is in good hands!

What is a Rotarian? It is an individual who shares a dream of a better world. How does that happen? They join forces and make it happen. Have an interest? A favorite charity? Do you know how to work efficiently and continue to move forward in your own life?

Many Rotarians volunteered to sell wrist bands at the recent Seafood Festival to help the Hampton Chamber of Commerce and those hours were vital to the Hampton Area Rotary Club.

We band together, we have fun, we get involved in our community, we laugh.

Join us and find camaraderie, and help us create a better world

☀️ This Week at Hampton Area Rotary

At this week’s meeting, the Hampton Area Rotary Club welcomed fellow Rotarian Dr. Steven Fine of the Peabody, Massachusetts Rotary Club, founder and president of the Melanoma Education Foundation.

Dr. Fine shared a deeply personal story with our members. In 1998, his son Daniel died from melanoma at just 26 years old. Following that devastating loss, Dr. Fine founded the Melanoma Education Foundation and has dedicated himself to educating others about melanoma, early detection, prevention, and the importance of recognizing changes in our skin.

His presentation was a powerful reminder that melanoma can affect people of any age and that awareness and early detection can save lives.

We sincerely thank Dr. Steven Fine for joining us, for sharing Daniel’s story, and for turning a heartbreaking loss into decades of work aimed at helping protect others.

To learn more about melanoma prevention, detection, and the work of the Melanoma Education Foundation, visit:

Thank you, Dr. Fine, for an informative and meaningful presentation — and for your commitment to Service Above Self. 💙💛
