The Hampton Area Rotary Club was honored to welcome guest speaker Perry Newman, Executive Director of Konbit Sante, at our Tuesday meeting.

Konbit Sante is a Maine-based nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening healthcare systems and improving health outcomes in northern Haiti through medical partnerships, supplies, training, and critical support services. (Konbit Sante)

Perry shared powerful insights into the ongoing challenges facing Haiti and the incredible work Konbit Sante is doing to provide essential medicines, equipment, pediatric care, and healthcare support to communities in need. His presentation was both informative and inspiring, highlighting the impact that collaboration and service can have across borders.

Thank you, Perry, for joining us and for the meaningful work you and Konbit Sante continue to do for the people of Haiti. 🇭🇹❤️⚙️

Rick's generosity and commitment to Rotary's mission have helped support projects that make a difference both locally and around the world. We were especially happy to celebrate this milestone with Rick alongside his sons, who are also members of our club.

☀️🛟 The Hampton Rotary Club Life Jacket Loaner Station is officially open for the summer boating season! 🛟☀️

Thanks to a grant from the Sea Tow Foundation, our community life jacket station is stocked and ready to help keep families safe on the water this summer.

Whether you’re heading out on a boat, kayak, paddleboard, or fishing trip, wearing a life jacket can save your life. Accidents can happen quickly, even in calm conditions, and the best life jacket is the one you wear.

This is a Borrow & Return program:
✅ Borrow a properly fitting life jacket for your day on the water
✅ Return it when you’re done so others can use it too
✅ Help keep the station clean, stocked, and available all season long

A special thank you to everyone who helps support boating safety in our community. Let’s make this a fun, safe summer on the water for everyone!

On Tuesday night, we had the honor of celebrating an extraordinary woman as our 2026 Citizen of the Year — Virginia “Ginny” Bridle Russell. ❤️

For more than 30 years, Ginny has quietly dedicated herself to the children and families of Hampton through compassion, leadership, and unwavering service.

As co-founder of Village Preschool, Ginny built a place where every child belonged — regardless of financial, social, or behavioral challenges. Hundreds of children received scholarships because Ginny believed preschool should never be a privilege reserved only for those who could afford it.

Her impact reaches far beyond the classroom. Ginny has served on the Hampton Select Board, Hampton School Board, and Budget Committee, always advocating for children, families, and our community with both heart and responsibility.

Again and again, Ginny has shown what true service looks like:
✨ Saving Village Preschool when it faced closure
✨ Helping struggling families quietly and without recognition
✨ Turning hardship into hope and community action
✨ Continuing to show up for Hampton’s children even while undergoing cancer treatment herself

One thing became clear throughout the evening: Ginny has never done any of this for recognition. She simply sees a need and steps in to help.

Congratulations, Ginny, and thank you for the incredible impact you’ve made — and continue to make — on generations of Hampton families. We are proud to honor you as our 2026 Citizen of the Year. 💛

📸 Special thank you to Matt Parker for beautifully capturing the evening and all the special moments.

We were honored to name Andre Carrier a Paul Harris Fellow last week. This is Rotary’s highest honor, recognizing those who make a meaningful impact through service.

We also proudly presented Mike and Leslie with a Rotary Certificate of Appreciation for their dedication to coordinating and supporting charitable efforts year-round.

Through our partnership with The Brook over the last few years, our Rotary club has been able to give back over $200,000 to local organizations supporting projects that once seemed out of reach and making a real, lasting impact across our community.
