We recently hosted Senior member and Cadets from our local Civil Air Patrol Unit, the Greater Nashua Composite Squadron of the New Hampshire Wing, for an introduction to the CAF, a hangar tour, some up close and personal warbird time and a good look at how we could work together to achieve our common goals in aviation and the local community.
We had fun, and look forward to our next opportunity to work together!

While we did not get to join in on the CAF Fly Day, we are so much closer to having our lovely PT-23 in the air!

We expect to finish the airframe over the next few weeks, then overhaul the top end of the engine, then ready to fly!

From observation and liaison missions to medical evacuation, this versatile helicopter helped shape military rotorcraft operations while proving its value both in uniform and in civilian service.

In this episode of CAF Warbird Tube, we sit down with Nick Infantino, founder and Unit Leader of the CAF New England Wing, to discuss the Wing’s newly assigned Hiller UH-12A. Assigned to the Unit in 2026, the helicopter represents an exciting new chapter for the Wing and the CAF’s growing collection of post-World War II aircraft. Learn about the aircraft’s history, and the Units plans to bring it to the public.
