TASC Rides - Transportation Assistance for Seacoast Citizens

TASC Rides - Transportation Assistance for Seacoast Citizens Connecting Seacoast Communities with free, volunteer-driven rides, TASC Rides helps older and disabled individuals stay independent.

We provide essential transportation to medical appointments, shopping, + more. Volunteer, donate, or request a ride today! TASC is a fantastic volunteer opportunity for busy people who think they don't have enough time to volunteer! Volunteer drivers decide how often they are going to drive---once a week, once a month, once in a blue moon! All ride requests & scheduling are handled by the TASC office. Send a message & we'll e-mail the volunteer driver information!

Sometimes it's not the big things you miss.
It's the places you used to visit without thinking.
A drive to the beach.
Sitting on a bench overlooking the water.
Putting your feet in the ocean for the first time that summer.
Losing the ability to drive can quietly shrink a person's world in ways other people don't always see.
While many people know TASC Rides for medical appointments, transportation plays an important role in helping people stay connected to their communities and the places that bring them joy.
On National Beach Day, we're thinking about all the places that make the Seacoast feel like home.

Not every ride has to be for something necessary.
Sometimes it's a haircut.
A ride to a friend’s for tea.
Picking up a birthday card.
Those ordinary trips help people stay connected to their communities and continue living independently.
On Just Because Day, we're celebrating the everyday moments that are important simply because they're part of everyday life.

Dogs don't know where you've been.
They only know you're home.
Whether someone is returning from a medical appointment, the grocery store, or another planned errand, getting back through the front door is the best part of the trip for your fur babies.
At TASC Rides, every ride has a destination, but every destination is also a return home.
On National Dog Day, we're celebrating the enthusiastic greeters waiting on the other side of the door.

You never know what you'll have in common with someone during a ride.
Maybe it's gardening.
Maybe it's baseball.
Maybe it's crossword puzzles or local history.
Sometimes the best conversations begin with one shared interest.
Every volunteer and every rider brings a lifetime of experiences to each ride, and those conversations are part of what makes each ride unique.
On Find Your Inner Nerd Day, we're celebrating the hobbies and interests that remind us we have more in common than we think.

You don't have to be an angel to volunteer with TASC Rides.
You just have to be willing to help when your schedule allows.
One ride to a medical appointment. A trip to the grocery store. A pharmacy pickup on the way through town.
Small acts add up when many volunteers each do a little.
On Be an Angel Day, we're grateful for the neighbors who quietly make time to help.

Every ride begins with a volunteer. It also depends on community support.
Volunteer drivers donate their time, but there are still costs involved in coordinating rides, supporting volunteers, and keeping the program running.
Financial gifts help TASC Rides continue connecting older adults with medical appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, and other important destinations throughout the communities we serve.
Whether you volunteer, donate, or help spread the word, every form of support helps keep our neighbors connected.

For many people, treatment doesn't end after surgery.
Follow-up appointments, imaging, therapy, and ongoing care can continue for months or even years.
Transportation is one part of making sure those appointments remain within reach.
TASC Rides coordinates volunteer drivers for eligible riders traveling to medical appointments throughout the communities we serve.
On World Breast Cancer Research Day, we're thinking of everyone continuing their care journey, one appointment at a time.

TASC Rides is powered by volunteers.
That means every ride begins with someone deciding, "I can help."
Some volunteers drive every week. Others volunteer once or twice a month.
Together, your individual commitments make it possible for older adults in our communities to continue getting to appointments, errands, and everyday destinations.
On National Nonprofit Day, we're grateful for the volunteers, riders, donors, and community partners who make this work possible.

You never know what kind of conversation might crop up during a ride.
It could be the weather.
Or maybe their grandchildren.
Perhaps it's a joke your grandchildren told you about the weather.
Volunteer drivers bring their own personalities to every ride, and those everyday conversations are part of what makes the trip feel comfortable.
On National Tell a Joke Day, we're celebrating the smiles that sometimes happen somewhere between pickup and drop-off.
