We’re excited to share that the Friends of Winnacunnet Foundation is investing in a refreshed website to better showcase the impact of its work across the school community.

The new site will highlight the many creative and innovative programs made possible through Foundation grants—programs that enrich the student experience and support the incredible work of Winnacunnet High School educators.

As part of this process, the Foundation would love to hear from anyone who has benefited from a Friends of Winnacunnet grant. If you’re a teacher or a student whose work has been supported by the Foundation, we’d welcome the chance to interview you and feature your story.

Behind the scenes, the Foundation is working with local alums to bring the project to life, with the goal of creating a space that celebrates our donors, our educators, and—most importantly—our students.

Stay tuned for the reveal in the coming months.

Last spring, Brandon Albert and Olivia Bissey, Transition Program Teachers and Unified Sports Coaches applied for a FOWF grant to fund their innovative idea to host a Seacoast Unified Sports Day at Winnacunnet High School. Unified Sports Day brings together students with and without intellectual disabilities to participate in inclusive activities. It's a day of fun, teamwork, and friendship, promoting social inclusion and breaking down barriers. It includes various interactive events, both indoors and outdoors, that are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone such as adaptive volleyball, Zumba, and co****le. These events emphasize participation and teamwork over competition, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect among all athletes. Over a 175 students, staff and teachers participated in the incredibly successful event. FOWF funded supplies and all of the T-Shirts to commemorate the day. Our community is fortunate to have such creative and passionate teachers! Congratulations to Winnacunnet High School for earning National Banner recognition as a Special Olympics Unified Champion School® and for being named to the ESPN Honor Roll of Unified Champion Schools! https://www.sonh.org/2025/11/02/leading-with-inclusion/?fbclid=IwY2xjawN6H-5leHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEeOiZZuWC-4a0kyAIAlgbUF1nT3tWxTS6v8zIJ6Cka7LlPp4KC2QzGBSMrubw_aem_PSh46fejuRVFDwtXhrp_Dw

The Friends of Winnacunnet Foundation would like to invite the community to a very brief dedication ceremony next Friday October 24, 2025 at 4 pm in honor of our significant contribution of the electronic sign installed at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
