A weekend side-by-side ATV crash on private property in Harris County claimed the life of Harris County High School baseball coach and teacher Tony Dimitri. The driver has been arrested and charged with DUI and vehicular homicide.

Sheriff Mike Jolley said the crash happened during an outing involving several families when the ATV overturned, killing Dimitri. Jolley added that Dimitri and the driver were close friends, a detail underscoring the depth of the tragedy.

Dimitri wasn’t just a coach or a teacher β€” he was a mentor, a leader, and a friend to many. His loss will be felt for a long time. Please keep his family, his players, and all who loved him in your prayers.
