🌟Friday Feature🌟

This weeks Friday Feature Board member is Region 3 Representative Dylan Wallace.

Dylan was born and raised in Angelina County within East Texas where his interest in being a Texas Game Warden was also born. He completed undergraduate studies and accrued a Bachelor of Science degree in Range Management from Texas A&M University – College Station in 2017.
Dylan graduated from the 63rd Texas Game Warden Academy in April 2020 and has been stationed in Limestone County since May 2021. Around this time, Dylan met his wife, Maddie, and we were married April 2023 – recently celebrating three years of marriage.

Dyland and Maddie have two children under the age of two, Daniel and Renley. Being a husband, father, and Texas Game Warden certainly keeps him on his toes, but what a blessing and privilege are all three! Dylan says “Alone I wouldn’t be able to keep up, but as the Scripture says, “with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible,” Matthew 19:26 NIV.”

It’s been a very long week for our Texas Game Wardens and their families! Now that the waters are receding and tasking is being drawn down, your Game Wardens are headed home to their families! The Texas Game Warden Association asks everyone to please continue to keep our Game Wardens in your thoughts and prayers as the wind down from this weather event!

Over the course of the current flooding event, your Texas Game Wardens have completed 153 rescues and 92 evacuations in Bandera, Comal, Crockett, Dimmit, Edwards, Frio, Kerr, Kimble, LaSalle, Maverick, Medina, Real, Uvalde, Val Verde and Zavala counties and surrounding areas.

Prayers for all those involved, and God Bless the Great State of Texas!

🌟Friday Feature🌟

Happy Friday everyone! Hope everyone is staying safe during this weather event across Texas. This week’s Friday Feature TGWA Board member is Region 2 Representative Josh Bulger.

Josh Bulger was born and raised in North Texas, where a lifelong interest in the outdoors sparked his passion for wildlife conservation. He graduated from Sanger High School in 2008 before earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University in 2011.

Josh attended the 59th Texas Game Warden Academy and graduated in July 2015. He began his career as a Texas Game Warden in Zapata County before transferring to Denton County, where he continues to serve the citizens of Texas.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, hunting, fishing, and sharing his passion for conservation and the traditions of the Texas outdoors.

☔️💧In the last 48 hours, Texas Game Wardens have been working tirelessly across Central and South Texas to protect our communities from the life-threatening flash flooding caused by recent severe storms. 🌊⛈️

Since the onset of the heavy rainfall, our dedicated teams have been on the front lines, utilizing specialized swift-water rescue boats and air assets to reach those stranded by rising waters. To date, Texas Game Wardens have successfully participated in the rescue of over 40 individuals from submerged vehicles and flooded homes, particularly in the hardest-hit areas like Uvalde County. 🛟

As these weather patterns continue to impact the region, our wardens remain fully deployed, working alongside state and local emergency partners to monitor conditions and provide immediate assistance where needed.

Please stay safe and heed the advice of emergency officials:
🛑Turn Around, Don't Drown: Never attempt to drive or walk through flooded roadways.
☔️Stay Weather Aware: Monitor your local forecasts and follow instructions from your local officials.
⚠️Respect Barricades: They are placed for your protection.

🚔🤠Your Texas Game Wardens are honored to serve our state during these challenging times. Please continue to watch out for your neighbors and stay safe.

Happy Thursday Everyone! Today’s “Throwback Thursday” comes from Mac'y Caudle-Patterson, daughter of Retired Texas Game Warden Mack Caudle.

She sent these pictures through the years of her dad. First one is at the “Republic of Texas” Standoff in the Davis Mountains. second pic Mack is on the right. Rest are from various things through his Career!
