Hello All!

Quick reminder, Monday May 11th @ 1830 is our next Post meeting. This is a really important meeting as we have our final group discussion for the Memorial Day events. Please make the extra effort to attend so we can make sure we are properly prepared to hold a professional ceremony. We will go over the schedule of events for the ceremony and follow up on flag placement at the various cemeteries. We will probably need to do a walk thru the Sunday afternoon before the ceremony.

We also have opportunities between now and then for raffle ticket sales. One occurs next weekend at the Steak Cookoff in Hico TX. I believe the date would be May 16th; time to be discussed. Also, on Friday May 22 say 1030 to 1300 outside of Ford and Crew Hardware. My brother-in-law will be cooking wings on a Green Egg. We can set up a cover and sale tickets there. Last time we did this we had a really good turnout. Even if it's just an hour you can participate, any assistance as a team is needed!

Shout out to those who participated in the National Day of Prayer at the County Courthouse. We had a good crew show up to represent the Post.

We will discuss full agenda items at the meeting. Bring your suggestions and ideas on how to help and continue to improve the Post!

Fifteen years ago today, on 1 May 2011, a U.S. military raid on an al-Qa'ida compound killed Usama Bin Ladin, America's most wanted terrorist. The mission's success was the culmination of many years of complex, thorough, and highly advanced intelligence operations led by the CIA with support from partners across the Intelligence Community. The raid marked the end of a more than 15-year effort to find Bin Ladin.

All,

I pray everyone had a wonderful and Blessed Easter; beautiful day and glorious day!!

Be advised our next meeting will be held Monday April 13th, 2026, at 1830. Please make every effort to attend; we have a lot to discuss in preparation for Memorial Day/Weekend activities. We need to finalize all individual responsibilities for that weekend. This includes flags at gravesites and the Memorial Day Ceremony. We will assign duties especially for Memorial Day Ceremony. We will need all hands-on deck to make sure it is a successful and respectful ceremony.

This meeting we will spend most of our time getting the assignments finalized. In addition, we will discuss raffle ticket selling opportunities. Let's make the most of some great raffle items and get the word out and accomplish our goal. Remember, this is how we keep our Hamilton Post #222 functioning!


We saw how important and how dedicated the men and women of our military are in the example of the pilot and weapons officer rescue. No other country's military shows this dedication and love of "Brotherhood" for our fellow military family than the members of the United States of America Armed Forces!!!! No matter the cost, no matter the location, and no matter the circumstance "No one left behind"!!!!

Since it will be important to have all there, if anyone is up to bringing potluck meal items it would be greatly appreciated and essential to morale and welfare and fellowship of the Post.

Bob, thanks for sending out the March minutes, greatly appreciated.

We have a chance to sell raffle tickets Friday 03 April from 1000 to 1400 at Ford n Crew Hardware across from DQ.
Brother n law will be cooking on the green egg.
I know it's Good Friday so if you are around please help out as much or when and if you can.
