During September, our members responded to more than 600 calls for service throughout Hamilton. These included five all-hands fires, one fatal fire, three motor vehicle accidents requiring extrication, and numerous other emergencies. Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of the person lost in the fatal fire.

As October begins, we remind our community that it is Fire Safety Month. Fires can have devastating consequences, and prevention starts with all of us.

Throughout the month, our members will visit all public and private elementary schools in Hamilton to share fire safety lessons with students. We look forward to helping our youngest residents learn how to prevent fires and respond safely in an emergency.

Together, we can help keep Hamilton safe.
