Happy Juneteenth National Independence Day! 🇺🇸🎉
Today, we celebrate FREEDOM — a freedom fought for, claimed, and carried forward with strength, hope, and unshakable spirit.

On June 19, 1865, freedom finally reached the last enslaved people in Texas when Major General Gordon Granger enforced the Emancipation Proclamation. That day became a powerful symbol of liberation — a day when justice rang louder, hope rose higher, and a new chapter began for millions.

Earlier that year, Congress had proposed the Thirteenth Amendment, paving the way for the permanent abolition of slavery across the nation. By December 1865, with its ratification, every enslaved person in America was finally free.

Today, we honor that victory.
Today, we celebrate the journey.
Today, we lift up the legacy of resilience, brilliance, culture, and community that continues to shape our nation.
