Can anyone spare 275 gallons of water? Or any water? The county doesn’t know when our area will have water again due to having to order a pump from the mainland. We have over 1000 animals in need of clean drinking water daily. Please let us know if you are willing to spare. Any help is greatly appreciated ❤️🙏🙏❤️

We lost roofs. We lost fences. We lost trees. Every enclosure was soaked… but we did NOT lose a single animal. ❤️🐾

Hurricane Lala hit East Maui Animal Refuge hard.

We had flooding throughout the property, including inside the cattery. Sections of roofing were torn away, trees fell onto buildings and damaged roofs, fences were crushed by falling trees, and there are trees down throughout the refuge. Both sides of the property experienced significant flooding, and all of our animal enclosures were soaked.

But through it all, every single animal made it safely through the storm. 🙏❤️ And for that, we are incredibly grateful.

Now comes the long road to recovery.

There is a tremendous amount of cleanup and rebuilding ahead of us. Roofs and buildings need repairs, fences need to be rebuilt, fallen trees need to be cleared, and damaged enclosures and supplies need to be restored or replaced.

This is going to take a lot of time, hard work, and money.
