20 Years, 20 Stories 📖 Here’s to a new partnership that brings education and impact to future medical professionals! This summer, we worked with the University of Colorado-Anschutz School of Medicine to welcome twelve Service Learning Students to camp. 🎓📚

We accepted them as eleven camp counselors and one student camp ambassador over the course of two Summer Camp sessions. Together, they immersed themselves in medically supported camp programming and interacted with campers who may share similar journeys with their future patients.

Throughout the week, our first superstar class discovered how powerful hope and joy can be for kids struggling with life-altering diagnoses. Emily, one of our Session 6 counselors, shared, “This experience will directly shape how I approach medicine as a future physician.” 💞

20 Years, 20 Stories 📖 This week, we’re highlighting The Inn at Riverwalk in Edwards, Colorado, and the colorful way they’ve turned hospitality into impact.

For five years, The Inn at Riverwalk has supported camp with their very own Roundup River Ranch Room. They partnered with artist Marley Seifert, as well as Roundup families and volunteers, to create a beautiful mural that reflects the very heart of camp. Every time the room is booked, 20% of the proceeds are donated directly to Roundup River Ranch, supporting meaningful camp experiences for children with life-altering diagnoses and their families. 🤗

Thank you to The Inn At Riverwalk for supporting our mission and bringing “The Power of Camp” to so many guests throughout the valley. We couldn't let today go by without giving a big shoutout to Ruffles, our beloved special visitor at camp! This summer, Ruffles joined us for story time and brought comfort and joy to campers and staff alike. Whether curled up during a quiet moment or wagging hello between activities, Ruffles has a way of making camp feel even more like home.

Can everyone SEA our Database Manager? 👀 Meet Kaylyn, the newest member of our Front Range team! Her job is all things data, from managing our donor database to reporting key numbers for the organization!

As a Colorado mom, Kaylyn appreciates how Roundup River Ranch connects families to the Rocky Mountains, creating the childhood joy she cherishes with her own family. She was also moved by the passion staff show for camp’s impact. 💙

“The Roundup team truly loves their work and the organization,” Kaylyn said. “The enthusiasm for the mission is contagious!”

Kaylyn’s favorite guidepost is “Give 110%,” because according to her, the best things come from going the extra mile. She’s excited to make a splash at Roundup, embracing that camp happiness in and out of the Denver office.

As we wrap up our summer, we want to say a HUGE thank you to our incredible seasonal staff who made our 2026 Summer Camp season one to remember ☀️💕 Throughout each session, this vibrant group supported and encouraged each other, building friendships that will last beyond this summer and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for campers and volunteers 💗

Serving Up the Love Fall dates are open! Join the fun at Children's Hospital as our volunteers serve a meal to wonderful families. 🍽️💕

As we look back on an incredible 2026 Summer Camp season, we want to recap one of the programs that was new to camp this year: clubs! ☀️ In addition to the scheduled programs we all know and love, campers were able to participate in their own clubs during camp. From Archery Club, where campers could practice their bullseyes, to Stage Night Club, where campers practiced together for a final performance at the end of the week, these clubs gave kids of all ages the opportunity to meet people outside of their cabins, learn new skills, and "choose their own adventure" for an afternoon during each Summer Camp session. 🧡 Some activities changed week to week, but popular choices included Photography Club, Fishing Club, Survivor Club, Camp Mural Club, Baking Club, and more! We can't wait to see even more creativity and self-expression during 2027 Summer Camp clubs!
