What a delicious way to celebrate camp! This month, Mountain Crust honored us as the featured nonprofit in their Field to Fork Dinner series. 🍽️💞

Folks gathered for a sold-out evening of camaraderie, mission moments, and a locally-sourced, multi-course meal. Camper Alumni Ellena also joined Mackenzie on the microphone to share how camp has positively impacted her life, from experiencing incredible moments as a camper to creating them as a part of the Spurs program. The backyard-style venue in Denver was full of great people and greater spirit! 💛

Thanks to our friends at Mountain Crust Catering, 50% of the night’s proceeds from over 125 tickets and onsite contributions were donated directly to camp! We are so incredibly grateful to you for helping us power hope and joy for our community. It was also a treat to see so many familiar faces, including camper families, volunteers, former staff, and other supporters at the dinner. Thank you for fueling our mission with amazing food and impact! 😋👏

Family Camp 6 was one for the books! 💛 We had the BEST time celebrating the end of our 2026 Camp Season with our wonderful families and volunteers at FC6. We loved to see families connect amongst themselves and with others over giggles and adventures around camp. We can’t wait to welcome more families, campers, and volunteers in 2027!

Say hello to Dr. Bill Sterett, the newest member of our Board of Directors! 🎉
Dr. Sterett is an internationally known orthopedic surgeon who has served tens of thousands of athletes through his tenure with the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic and Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery.

For over 25 years, he served as the head physician for the U.S. Women’s Alpine Ski Team and treated athletes during five Winter Olympics and eleven Alpine World Championships. He was awarded the Alfred Sossman Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012 for his work with the U.S. Ski Team and the U.S. Olympic Committee. ⛷️

Dr. Sterett was drawn to Roundup River Ranch by the power of our adaptive programming and the impact camp has on children and families across Colorado. Along with engaging as a donor and supporter of our events, his son served for two summers as one of our early camp counselors while in college at DU. Dr. Sterett now serves on both our Governance Committee and Medical Advisory Committee, helping guide our board practices and support the medical expertise that makes The Power of Camp possible.

Dr. Sterett is a wonderful addition to our team, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to our Board of Directors! Say hi and ask him to share a few Winter Olympic stories! 🤎

We had a wonderful time at this week for our Hospital Howdy Hangout! 💙 Our Outreach team set up lots of fun camp activities in the CHCO Atrium, where anyone was welcome to participate and learn more about Roundup! Children, families, staff, and volunteers were able to join in on indoor archery, Guess Who, making bracelets, writing hope stars, and so much more with our Howdy Hangout crew. We want to thank Children's Hospital Colorado for this incredible opportunity to connect with their community and also give a big shout out to our incredible volunteers who helped us run our programming! 🫶
