Our Seasonal Staff training is officially COMPLETE! Our Seasonal Staff have done an incredible job preparing for our first summer campers to arrive tomorrow πŸ‘ Among the weeks of training they completed, they participated in training with .j.brinkoutfitters to learn important safety practices and how to lead horses at Equestrian. 🐴 They also completed a DEIA Training to become more informed and empowered to be inclusive in the workplace and around camp! Finally, we would like to thank for coming out to camp to train our Medical Team on topics such as airway management training, patient transport logistics, and integration of EMT and Paramedic volunteers into our camp programming. A huge thank you to Graham Kane from Eagle County Paramedics and ECPS Paramedic Greg Sawyer for dedicating their time to these trainings! We are so excited for Summer Camp to start tomorrow! β˜€οΈ

Introducing our incredible 2026 seasonal Medical Team! 🀍🩺 Meet Colin (Medical Technician), Ashley (Summer Staff Nurse), Molly (Summer Staff Nurse), and Boots (Lead Nurse).

As our Lead Nurse, Boots will act as the Charge Nurse of the Medical Team, helping our Nursing Director, Cami (AKA Hoops) keep the train moving! πŸš‚

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible generosity of our community and the viewers of Next with Kyle Clark! Last week, Roundup River Ranch was honored to be selected as the nonprofit beneficiary of the "Word of Thanks" micro-giving campaign through 9NEWS (KUSA) and Next with Kyle Clark. Thanks to your support, we've raised nearly $10,000 and counting from 229 donors - and the majority of those donors are new to the Roundup River Ranch family.

Beyond the fundraising impact, this opportunity introduced thousands of people to our mission. Through 9NEWS, the Next with Kyle Clark broadcast, YouTube, and online coverage, the campaign helped spread awareness of the healing power of camp across Colorado and beyond.

To everyone who donated, shared our story, tuned in, and helped spread the word - thank you. Your support helps ensure that more campers can experience the joy, connection, confidence, and belonging that camp provides. A special thank you to the teams at 9NEWS and Next with Kyle Clark for shining a spotlight on our mission. We are deeply grateful and inspired by what is possible when a community comes together to create meaningful impact. πŸ’™

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and here at Roundup River Ranch we know how important mental health is. πŸ’š That is why yesterday our seasonal staff spent the day doing Youth Mental Health First Aid training.

Through this training, they are now certified mental health first-aiders through the . We understand the importance of mental health education and the role we can play in the lives of the children we serve, which is why this training was so necessary for our seasonal staff who provide care to our campers all summer.

Here at Roundup River Ranch, we create an environment for our campers to practice resilience and build relationships. These are considered protective factors, which actually counteract risk factors and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)! From prevention, to intervention, to postvention, they are prepared to recognize signs and symptoms of a mental health crisis and assess how to help our campers.
