Exciting things happening this week...
1. There is now a BIKE RACK on the front of the building for those people who ride over to the facility
2. New machines are being delivered WEDNESDAY of next week
3. Our cross raising and blessing will be taking place on Thursday at 3pm.

We are blessed to have a beautiful wooden cross that has been hand crafted and donated to our facility by one of our YMCA staff members. Join us on Thursday, November 5th at 3:00pm for our official Raising of the Cross and blessing by Pastor Herb Hubbard.

Now that the weather has FINALLY cooled off, we're getting around to completing our basketball and pickleball courts! The final coat for the Kitchen will be completed on Saturday 10/24. The court IS usable and we have both basketballs and 1 set of pickleball paddles to use! Come, play, sweat!!

An open letter from Kristen -

It is a bittersweet moment that I take to say THANK YOU FIT FAM for an amazing two years of serving as your Guyton YMCA Program Coordinator. My time with you has been nothing short of fun, fulfilling and enjoyable, but all love stories must come to an end at some point. I have been presented with an opportunity that I want to announce. I have accepted the Branch Director position with our Richmond Hill YMCA. While I may be leaving our small branch, I will continue serving our YMCA of Coastal Georgia association of Ys. I will miss you all and pray that you will continue to support our local Y in every way you know how - by simply showing up. Have an amazing rest of your week, and I look forward to having the opportunity to bid adieu to each of you in the coming weeks. 🫶

Our YMCA is a non-profit focusing on building community programs that aid in a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. This year, our facility had a goal of raising $12,000 and y'all we are almost there with only $1,390 left to meeting our goal. Our campaign dollars go toward helping those who need the facility for health reasons but may not able to afford it, helping parents afford a martial arts program for their kids who may otherwise not be able to attend a class, bringing outdoor amenities to an otherwise sleepy town and giving those less fortunate families a holiday season to be cheerful for. The funds we raise go right back into the community we serve. If you can, please consider donating and help us meet our goal! Give us a call, stop in and see us or donate directly online! Good Afternoon Fit Fam!
This is a friendly reminder - our facility is unstaffed Monday - Friday from 12pm-4pm. Our doors are LOCKED and operational only as 24/hr access. To enter the building you must have the following:
1. An active YMCA membership
2. Be 18 years or older (this includes those people with you - no one
under 18 should be in the building if there is no staff present)
3. No outstanding balances on your account
4. Have the add-on and signed waivers

Please DO NOT let people into the building who cannot gain access as this may result in your access being denied. If you are unsure as to our 24/hr policy, it is posted on the door and around our facility for reference. Kristen's direct contact is listed on the door - please TEXT (912) 712-2279 if you're having issues getting in.

Our staff recently had the pleasure of representing the YMCA of Coastal Georgia at Y-USA's General Assembly in New Orleans. We learned from leading experts about leadership and the power of creating connected communities in the place we call home. Good food and even greater company made the trip unforgetable. We miss the Big Easy, but feel energized to bring what we learned to our Y!
