We have a homeowner with a child who would like to work with other residents to organize a Halloween trick or treat event in our neighborhood. She points out that we have a lot of kids in the neighborhood now, but few trick or treaters. If you are interested in helping to organize and/or attend a Halloween event in our neighborhood, please comment.

A big thank you to Dylan Wickes of Panhandle Palms. Dylan resides on Sanibel Lane in the first cul-de-sac. Dylan entered the burning home of his next door neighbor as her house was burning and totally engulfed. He carried the elderly lady out of the house and carried her over his shoulder to safety. Dylan is a hero. The house is a total loss but the woman was transported to the hospital by a local ambulance in a non- emergency mode.

Front island update: We plan to replace our sign after Hwy 98 construction is complete. We feel the sign is safer off the island during construction.

In the past couple of weeks, several residents have stepped up to help clean up the front island as well as other islands around the neighborhood.

Thank you Dave with Dave's Painting for cleaning up the front entrance. Dave lives in the first cul-de-sac and has taken it upon himself several times to help tidy up the front entrance.

Volunteer(s) needed!

Our neighbor who had been taking care of the front islands can no longer mow up there. If you can, please feel free to mow, mow now, mow later, whenever you want to mow, have fun. This is completely voluntary, but makes a huge difference for our community.

Signage volunteers needed too. We have a form for the posts to rest the sign on, but now need the manpower to help put our beautiful neighborhood sign back up (thank you road construction for that mess). If you can help with this, please send a text to 224.300.9688. This is a personal number for a fellow neighbor so please use it as such. Hoping to get this done before the summer, no, before the temperatures, get too hot to do this again for another season. The sign is very light, it's the installation that needs the manpower. Please let us know, hopefully we can get this done in the next month.
