🐬 IT’S YOUTH NIGHT IN THE BREEZE!

Tonight is about more than Friday night football. It’s about the next generation of Dolphins.

Before they run under the lights at Dolphin Stadium, they wear their GBSA jerseys. They learn the game on our youth fields, play alongside their friends, and dream about the day they’ll get to put on the navy and gold.

Tonight, we recognize those young players and remind them that the guys they’ll be watching from the stands were once standing exactly where they are.

Same dreams. Bigger stage. One Town. 🐬🏈

All GBSA football players receive FREE admission when they wear their jersey. Come out, pack Dolphin Stadium, and help us celebrate the future of Gulf Breeze Football as the Dolphins take on the Fort Walton Beach Vikings.

Every Friday night, the stands are filled with parents, families, and familiar faces. Faces in the Crowd is our chance to get to know our Dolphin Family.

Meet John Mitchell 👋

📍 Hometown: New Orleans, LA

🔥 Off the field: Is there something else besides football?!? Geaux Tigers!
My biggest hobby is race cars. From the time I could drive I have loved cars, specifically Fords & Mustangs. Mostly because I had to learn how to keep my first car, a 1988 Ford Thunderbird, running on my own. I always have a project car in the garage, currently it’s a white 1992 Ford Mustang.​
When I’m not working in the garage, I’m doing whatever diy home upgrades my wife and daughter dream up. ​​
On Sundays after Mass, you can find me on the beach waiting on the Blue Angel Beach Buzz.

👨‍👩‍👦 Family: My son Jhett is a Sophomore and plays nose guard for JV wearing #19 and has started to dress out for some Varsity games this season! My daughter Joules is in 8th grade at GBMS, she enjoys Cheering, Tumbling, and Volleyball. My wife, Jenn and I are highschool sweethearts and moved our family to Gulf Breeze 4 years ago to start my company.

👷 Day job: ​I own Tint World Pensacola. After covid ended my career in catering management, I was blessed with the opportunity to turn my hobby and passion into what I get to do every day.

Another week. Another dominant win for our Dolphin Freshmen. 🐬

The boys lit up the scoreboard at Dolphin Stadium, putting up 61 points in a 61–22 victory over the Tate High School Aggies.

This group just keeps rolling. Playing fast, playing together, and getting better every week.

MILITARY WEEK • DAY 5 🇺🇸

TURN THE TIDE

June 6, 1944.

Before dawn, thousands of Allied ships and aircraft moved toward the coast of Normandy. By the end of D-Day, more than 150,000 Allied troops had crossed the English Channel by sea and air.

They faced fortified beaches, enemy fire, enormous obstacles and uncertainty.

D-Day did not end the war.

But it changed its direction.

The landings established the Allied foothold in Western Europe and began an advance that would help lead to the liberation of France and ultimately victory in Europe.

Today, we remember the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the men who went ashore that morning. Nothing we do on a football field compares to what they faced.

But their example reminds us of something timeless:

Preparation matters. Courage matters. Commitment matters. And sometimes, everything can change when people decide to move forward together.

Our past has been a struggle. We’ve faced adversity, difficult seasons and plenty of moments that tested this program.

But the past doesn’t determine the future.

A new direction has to start somewhere.

Why not here?
Why not tonight?

One team.
One town.
One mission.

🇺🇸 MILITARY WEEK | DAY 4: SUSTAINMENT

Getting forces to the fight is only the beginning. The harder task is keeping them there.

On an average day, the Defense Logistics Agency supports more than 91,000 orders, 9.5 million gallons of fuel, nearly 880,000 meals and almost 120,000 repair parts. A single C-17 can carry more than 170,000 pounds of cargo or 102 paratroopers and extend its reach around the globe through aerial refueling.

People. Equipment. Supplies. Readiness.

It all serves one purpose:

SUSTAIN THE FIGHT.

Our football program works on the same principle. The eleven under the Friday night lights are only the most visible part of a much larger team.

Today we recognize our coaches and support staff, Gulf Breeze Quarterback Club, Breeze Athletic Trust, parents and families who give their time, resources and countless hours behind the scenes to make this program possible.

Programs like ours don’t run on eleven players. They run on a community.

Some contributions happen under stadium lights.
Many more happen when nobody is watching.

Both matter. Both are part of the mission.

Every Friday night, the stands are filled with parents, families, and familiar faces. Faces in the Crowd is our chance to get to know our Dolphin Family.

Meet Tonia Huff 👋

📍 Hometown: Born and raised, spent 40 years of my life in Southern California until I made the great Covid escape.
🔥 Off the field: Fishing, watersports and motorsports, I try to drag my family into some of it, fortunately (or unfortunately) for them. I came to Florida to fish, boat and jet ski for the rest of my life. I highly, highly enjoy being a super fan of Jack in all of his endeavors so I craft accordingly and consider myself his Stan, though he’s quite embarrassed of me.
👨‍👩‍👦 Family: We are quite a collaboration. I’ve adopted many times and have 6 at home and they are quite a collaborative. Jack is the oldest at home, he is 14. Daisy 12, Allie and Brooke are 10, Jameson 9, and our biggest baby Jett (mini Jack) is almost 6!
🍔 Local favorites: Taste of Thai and Pedro’s get the votes
👷 Day job: I semi “retired” to raise all of these kids. I was in marketing for National Brand Foods but when I was younger, I went to school and trained to be an archaeologist. That never really worked out professionally, so I went to business school. I will say that I highly prefer being a mom and out on my boat.

Friday Night Favorite: The freedom of knowing I can *kind of* do whatever I want for a while- until I have a varsity player- then it will be those Friday night lights!

Military Week is about more than a theme, a uniform, or what happens under the lights on Friday night.

It’s an opportunity for our players to recognize the men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform, and to understand the values behind that service: commitment, sacrifice, discipline, courage, and putting something bigger than yourself first.

Those lessons translate far beyond football.

Throughout this week, we’ve tried to honor that legacy and remind our young men that the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy were secured and defended by generations of Americans willing to serve.

Friday night, we want to say thank you in one small way.

🇺🇸 All current and retired military personnel will receive FREE ADMISSION to Friday night’s game with a valid military ID.

We know a free ticket to a football game is an insufficient symbol of our gratitude for years of service, deployments, missed birthdays and holidays, time away from family, and sacrifices most of us will never fully see.

But it is our chance to open the gates, welcome you into Dolphin Stadium, shake your hand, and let you know that your service matters to this community.

🇺🇸 MILITARY WEEK | DAY 3: REHEARSE. REFINE. REPEAT.

The mission has been received. The plan has been built.

Now comes the part that separates knowing the plan from being ready to execute it.

In U.S. Special Operations, rehearsals are not an afterthought. Teams rehearse critical actions, contingencies, communications, and individual responsibilities before ex*****on. They identify weaknesses while there is still time to correct them. They refine the plan until every member understands not only what they are doing, but what the team needs from them when conditions change.

Football is no different.

Every rep matters. Every assignment matters. Every detail matters. You practice the fundamentals until they become instinct. You communicate. You correct mistakes. You rehearse situations you hope never happen so that when something unexpected does happen, 11 players respond as one.

Preparation isn’t what you do before the mission.

Preparation is part of the mission.

Today we rehearse.
Today we refine.
Then we do it again.

Because when Friday night arrives, preparation ends.

Ex*****on begins.
