What an incredible day at the Resilient Teens Conference this past Saturday!

From powerful conversations on online safety and mental wellness to real community connection, our youth proved what true resilience looks like. Thank you, Resilient Communities of East Georgia, for such an impactful Summit!

Also, a huge shoutout to whoever created those elite balloon arches—and that fried chicken and mac & cheese. Lunch was easily a 10/10😉

Today, all of us at Columbia County Community Connections join millions worldwide in mourning the passing of the legendary Dolly Parton.

Dolly was not only an icon in music, but a champion for children and literacy. Her deep belief that every child—regardless of background—deserves access to books and the gift of reading is a core mission we hold close to our hearts at CCCC. Through initiatives like her Imagination Library, she put millions of books into the hands of young readers and showed us the true power of giving back.

Thank you, Dolly, for your generosity, your heart, and for inspiring us all to spread love and literacy in our communities. Your legacy will live on in every book opened and every story shared.

Day 5 of Impact Week - Supporting Families

Sometimes impact looks like meeting one immediate need at exactly the right time.

Community Support by the Numbers:
• 12 carset installations
• 5 car seats provided
• 3 families served with $2,500 in utility assistance
• 20 families received weekly food support
• 12 clients connected with Serenity Behavioral Health

Day 4 of Impact Week: Stronger Minds, Stronger Community💙

Sometimes making an impact starts with simply creating space for conversation.

This year, CCCC brought parents, students, schools, and our community together to raise awareness, build prevention skills, and remind young people that their mental health matters.

Mental Health Impact by the Numbers:
• 75 parents participated in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer)
• 1,000 daily impressions for 3 weeks through our Free Your Feels campaign & billboard
• 8 high schools and 45 community members represented at the Free Your Feels 5k
• $4,500 in Ethan Noah Scholarships awarded to local students
• 24 free mobile clinic visits (free to the public) through our partnership with Serenity Behavioral Health

Our impact goes beyond the numbers through our partnership with Augusta University and the CCSAVE Team to bring important su***de prevention & awareness to our community.

Each conversation, connection, and resource helps us build a community where young people know they have support.

Because mental health matters-and so do they!💙

Day 3 of Impact Week: Working Towards the Future💼

A summer job can be so much more than a paycheck.
Camp SWE4T (Summer Work Experience for Teens) allows local teens to gain real-world work experience, build professional skills, and start preparing for what comes next.

Camp SWE4T by the numbers:
• 15 teens completed the program
• 7 weeks of work experience & professional development
• $1,200 earned by each teen ($18,000 in total)
• 8 professional development classes
• 6 guest speakers covering everything from financial literacy to civic engagement
• 1 college visit
• 10 job sites

Behind every number is a young person who showed up, worked hard, gained new experiences, and took another step towards their future.

Day 2 of Impact Week: Summer Dreams Realized ✨

Summer should be a time of discovery, growth, adventure, and pure joy!

For 7 incredible (but exhausting) weeks this summer, the Dream Academy Summer Camp provided a safe, high-quality experience for local children across Columbia County.

Dream Academy Summer Camp by the Numbers:
• 7 weeks of summer fun & learning
• 45 children served from 39 families
• 10 exciting and educational field trips
• 6 inspiring guest speakers who shared their stories & careers
• 50 academic lessons to keep young minds sharp
• 15 creative art projects brought to life

Our campers didn't just have fun—they learned, explored, built friendships, and made memories in a positive, supportive environment.

That's what positive youth development looks like.💙

Day 1 of Impact Week: Feeding Futures🍎

No child should ever have to wonder where their next meal is coming from.

Throughout the 2025-2026 school year, Food4Kids helped make weekends and breaks a little easier for 563 students enrolled in Columbia County schools.

Food4Kids by the numbers:
22,000 bags (or "Saturday Sacks") distributed
563 students served each week
15+ organizations, civic clubs, & churches helped make it possible

Because Food4Kids isn't something CCCC does alone. It's something our community does together. 💙
