Our last day in Choluteca was busy organizing our work room, getting supplies put away until next year, giving out IETI nursing school backpacks and seeing kiddos we’ve missed seeing during the week.
Our day ended with another delicious dinner from Diana, a beautiful cake and many tearful goodbyes.
We were blessed to meet up with Leslie and Osman at KFC after dinner for a quick hello and goodbye session. We’ve missed seeing them during this weeks visit but making plans for the future.
It’s been a glorious time in Honduras with all of our friends- those we consider family- and making new ones. Until next time, we love you and already miss you. πŸ’™πŸ‡πŸ‡³πŸ’™

This! Teck Wubneh a member of our team sang a bit of β€œHow Great Thou Art” high up on beautiful outlook at the Lazaro Mission complex. So special as he sang in his home language. Teck is a retired Nazarene pastor and from Ethiopia.

Yesterday afternoon we finished our day in San Jeromimo. The entire team loves this village, church and pastors family. It’s such a sweet group who love Jesus. Kathy Ferguson taught the message on love and the fruits of the Spirit. The children created envelopes make out of heart doilies and put cut out paper hearts with the fruits of the spirit on them in their envelope followed by candy. We handed out their supplies and their backpacks and ended the day with a fun water balloon fight. They gather and shout β€œadios” until we drive away - heart wrenching! Thanks to Kroger in Augusta, Georgia for the water balloons.! πŸ’™πŸ‡πŸ‡³πŸ’™away

The children listened attentively to the presentation of Zacchaeus by Teck and then the call to salvation by Rob Roy. Bibles were given out and the children responded positively. Thank you for all of your prayers!!

More from Apacilagua and Mal Paso. Lori taught the woman at the well Bible story and the forgiveness of Jesus. The kiddos made wells out of gum drops and then we had a relay race with water, spoons and cups! It was a fun day!!

Oh my goodness! We had another great day in Honduras, giving out backpacks and hugs and telling the kids about Jesus and how much he loves them. We had a lot of children in Apacilagua who wanted to pray that they would love Jesus with their whole heart! β™₯️ we taught David and Goliath, and they loved trying to hit Goliath in the head.
We ate lunch at Mal Paso - delicious sandwiches that we had packed for the day. I think it was a record hot day and we were all exhausted by the time we came back for showers. Our time is going by very quickly, and the team is tired, but we are all having a great time. Thank you so much for your prayers. If you do not see your child posted, or I do not send you a private picture, please PM me your phone number and who you are and I will send your child’s picture to you directly. We guard against posting the names of the children and the location because we want to protect their identity. All of the children are extremely grateful for you.!! πŸ’™πŸ‡πŸ‡³πŸ’™
