Some questions I often get —-—
** I can not take in wild animals . I do not have my wildlife license and I could loose my current rescue license if I did .
*** I can not trade grooming services for donations . If I had the funds to buy things we need I would pay for it . Exchanging for grooming is paying for the item(s) .
It will also make my finances on the part of my grooming business short . I also have been grooming extra dogs a week to be able to pay kennel techs to help me care for the animals we have . Grooming for “ free” would definitely take a toll on being able to pay them.
It no longer is considered a “ donation” if you are getting compensated for it .
**** I can not take in animals care , feed and pay kennel techs as free boarding while you are transitioning to a new home . I get this question at least 4 times a month.
**** I can not take in sick , injured animals that you want returned after they are healthy . If we take them in , vet them , care for them , pay employees to care for them they are now owned by the rescue .
**** I can not go into peoples homes and remove animals that seem or are neglected. I do not have any type of license or authority to do that . You have to call law enforcement or the ARL out of Des Moines.
**** I can not pay your vet bills . This is a future goal to be able to help locals with this in time of an emergency but at this time I am no where close financially to be able to do this unfortunately.
*** I can not take in livestock at this time .Again another future goal . 🩷
🩷 I LOVE animals, but I also know my limits that I already exceed and I know when I’m being taking advantage of for my love of animals . 🩷 I get this ALOT “ I thought you would help since you love animals “ I’m one person , I unfortunately can’t be cloned 😂 so I can only take on so much and still try to live a life outside the rescue as well . I know most people understand this . 💝
