Pediatric Hospice and Respite Home A home to feel loved, safe, receive the best medical care, and be as happy as possible in. It will be the first one in Iowa.

After Mason passed away in March of 2021, we knew instantly that every kid who needed hospice care or respite care deserved to have a space of their own. To be able to make memories and take the time they need with their family and friends beside them. A place where families don't have to worry about incurring costs while staying at Mason's Light House. There are only 3 Hospice and Respite homes f

or kids in the United States. Only one of those is strictly pediatric. We decided to start our own pediatric hospice and respite home in Mason's memory. On October 19th, 2021 Mason's Light House became a non-profit charity. June 25th, 2022 marked our 2nd Annual Mighty Mason Memorial Golf Tournament. We raised over $20,000 for Mason's Light House, from the help and support of our small community in Grinnell, Iowa. We are currently looking for land to build Mason's Light House on, in or around the Iowa City area.

Mason’s Light House has been asked to partner with the Dam to Des Moines race again this year. In return for volunteers we will receive a donation. It is May 28th 3:30-7 and 29th 3:00-6:45 for packet pick-up in Cowles Commons. Comment below if interested for more information. They are looking for 10 volunteers per day. We want to give a huge thank you to Rotary District 6000 Iowa for inviting us to be at their conference this weekend and having me speak, Saturday. They raised over $30,000 for Mason's Light House and we are so appreciative of the generosity of this group of people. Thank you Rotarians for all the things you do for others.
