Christianity is fine. this is not.
Military members are actively rejecting Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth's orders to purge transgender troops, telling the administration they are "not going to play that game."
As reported by Greg Owen for LGBTQ Nation, the White House rebooted its military trans ban, forcing troops who refused to resign to face three-member separation boards. The administration assumed these uniformed juries would automatically rubber-stamp the expulsions. Instead, Navy and Marine Corps boards have voted to retain transgender service members in nine out of twelve cases heard since July.
When Marine Staff Sergeant Damien Contreras faced his hearing in August, government lawyers presented his 2017 transition documents as grounds for removal. The board of active-duty Marines looked at the paperwork, then looked at Contreras's record of three overseas deployments and a decade of flawless service. They crossed out the expulsion instructions on the form, circled "remains qualified," and sent him back to work.
Hegseth has spent years publicly vilifying trans troops as a "woke" problem. Yet when everyday warfighters are forced to sit across a table and fire a decorated colleague to satisfy a political agenda, they are refusing to comply.
And we’re supposed to take lectures on who’s fit to serve from a man who belongs to Doug Wilson’s church network. Wilson, a self-described Christian nationalist whose church doesn’t think women should vote.
The administration demanded a purge. The troops looked at their own teammates and chose loyalty over politics.
