Rural Arts Collaborative We value art, recreation, technology, and sustainability in our programs, activities, and events.

Our programs provide a space for people of all ages to come together for community connection, lifelong learning, and access to resources. No matter the topic, our classes focus on whole-body wellbeing and emphasize creativity, exploration, active learning, and connection to the natural world.

WonderKids at Hardwick got to chip in and help carve pumpkins for their school’s Pumpkin Walk this Sunday 10/11!

A little teamwork, a lot of pumpkin guts, and plenty of creativity later-we’ve got some pumpkins ready for the walk!

We love seeing WonderKids students find ways to contribute to their school community while having fun and making something together.

We’ve reached the final stop in our series introducing RAC’s program areas, and this one is well known to many local families: WonderKids!

Through hands-on art, outdoor exploration, and teamwork, WonderKids helps build confidence and self-agency. Best of all? It’s completely free for elementary students in the OSSU district!

Thank you for following along as we shared all four of RAC’s core programs: Inclusive Arts, Community Workshops, Teen Mentorship, and Out-of-School Youth Programming. We’re so grateful to shape community and support local youth together!

WonderKids is back in full swing at Craftsbury, Hardwick, and Wolcott Schools! We think it's going well, but don't take it from us. Here are some things the kids had to say:

"I would do this all afternoon and not play Roblox!"
-WonderKid about finger crocheting.

"This is was the best day of Afterschool ever!"
-WonderKid about games and movement.

"I wish it was Tuesday! I just want to go back to afterschool and work on my city!"
-WonderKid about the narrative art activity.

WonderKids provides access to high quality arts programming and serves the OSSU elementary districts; it is completely free to attend!

This program fosters organic relationships between curious teens and creative professionals, giving young people space to explore future paths through their own interests and motivation. Hands-on learning builds confidence and opens doors to opportunities they might not have found otherwise.

RAC runs four programs, each shaping community in its own way. Over the next few weeks, we'll introduce you to all of them.
First up: Inclusive Arts. This program puts young people at the center of creative spaces shaped by intergenerational connection, where youth, elders, and community members share art, perspective, and encouragement, side by side.
