What a weekend in downtown Hardwick!

Our bridge grand opening celebration was a huge success, and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate this exciting milestone with us!

After months of construction, patience, and anticipation, we’re SO close to having our downtown back to normal!

This project was about so much more than a new bridge! After the devastating flooding our community has experienced, strengthening the retaining wall and critical infrastructure along Main Street was essential to protecting our downtown for years to come. While construction brought its challenges, these improvements represent an important investment in the safety, stability, and future of Hardwick.

🌳 Monday:Trees are going in, adding the finishing touches to our beautiful new streetscape!

🚗 Tuesday: The road is expected to reopen to normal traffic! The moment we’ve ALL been waiting for! 🙌

A huge thank you to our local businesses, community members, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this celebration possible. Your patience and support throughout this project have meant so much.

Here’s to a new chapter for downtown Hardwick!

🎉 THE WAIT IS OVER, HARDWICK! 🎉

We've waited long enough, and now it's time to CELEBRATE! Our bridge is opening, and downtown Hardwick is throwing a party this weekend, October 9 & 10! 🌉🥳

Two days of live music, dancing, food, community fun, and one very exciting bridge opening!

🎶 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9
📍 7 PM – The Bad Penny Pleasure Makers bring their New Orleans dance music to the American Legion!

🎉 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10
🌉 3 PM – Official (and appropriately pompous!) Bridge Opening Ceremony!

🌮 4:30 PM – Food trucks at the Town House!

🎻 5 PM – Live concert with The Ida Mae Specker Band, Vermont's premiere square dance band!

💃 6 PM – Square dancing! Bring your dancing shoes!

🪕 After the dance – Old Time Jam at the American Legion!

While you're downtown, make time to visit our amazing local shops, restaurants, and businesses. They've been waiting for this moment, too! ❤️

A huge thank you to The Civic Standard and everyone helping make this celebration happen.

The Hardwick Downtown Partnership is seeking proposals for a logo refresh and brand kit to help us create a cohesive, recognizable look that represents downtown Hardwick and our community.

The project will include a refreshed logo, brand colors + fonts, a brand kit, and templates that we can use across our communications and marketing.

THE WAIT IS OVER! 🎉🌉

After a long wait, Hardwick’s new bridge is nearing completion, and we’re celebrating with a full weekend of music, dancing, food, and downtown fun!

Join us October 9 & 10 for the Bridge Warming Party, in partnership with The Civic Standard, and sponsored by Union Bank.

🎶 Friday • 7 PM: The Bad Penny Pleasure Makers bring New Orleans dance music to the Legion

🌉 Saturday • 3 PM: The Official Pompous Bridge Opening Ceremony (yes, we can finally walk across it!)

🎟️ Saturday afternoon: The Hardwick Hop concludes! Get those final stops in, and we’ll be drawing the prizes!

🌮 4:30 PM: Food trucks at the Town House

🎻 5 PM: Concert with The Ida Mae Specker Band Ida Mae Specker

💃 6 PM: Square dance!
