A Collect for Father's Day by Fr. Bryan Owen...

O Lord our God, creator of heaven and earth, through your Son Jesus Christ you have revealed yourself as a heavenly Father to all of your children. Bless, we pray, all earthly fathers. Strengthen them to nurture, protect, and guide the children entrusted to their care. Instill within them the virtues of love and patience. May they be slow to anger and quick to forgive. And through the ministrations of your Holy Spirit, may all fathers be strong and steadfast examples of faithfulness, responsibility, and loving-kindness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Contemplative Celtic Communion and Evening Prayer have been a welcome mid-week respite, a time to reflect in our quiet, candlelit sanctuary since September 2024.

Instrumental music, scripture, poetry and prayer offer food for our souls and a reminder of God’s presence each day beyond our Sunday worship.

This summer, the planning team will take a breath for the months of July and August, and we will celebrate in September with a Celtic-themed evening of food and music and celebration in addition to resuming contemplative, reflective worship.

Please mark June 3, our next Contemplative Celtic Evening Prayer and September 2 on your calendars. More details following in August.
