The 2026 HBAG Fall Meeting brought homebuilding professionals from across Georgia to Lake Oconee, and LOABA was proud to welcome them to our backyard!

Our members were actively involved throughout the conference, participating in committee meetings, educational sessions, leadership events and networking opportunities. We were also proud to sponsor Picnic by the Lake and share a little of what makes Lake Oconee such a special place to live, work and build.

A huge thank you to Harbin Lumber Company, Inc. for hosting this month’s LOBA Membership Meeting and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) class on PWT Treated LVL Design, Performance, and Application!

It was such an engaging and informative meeting, packed with new and returning members, builders, valuable industry information, and exciting updates. From upcoming events like our 33rd Annual Golf Tournament to plans for next year’s Big Event, there is so much to look forward to!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every member who joined us for this month’s meeting and CEU class, and to El Amigo for catering a delicious meal for our members! We greatly appreciate everyone’s continued involvement and support, it means so much to our Association.

New Member Showcase: SPG Land Surveyors

SPG Land Surveyors is the land surveying division of SPG Planners + Engineers, a multidisciplinary planning, engineering and land surveying firm located in Watkinsville, Georgia. Established in 1989, SPG has over three decades of experience delivering infrastructure, land development and public-sector projects across the Southeast. The firm is comprised of approximately 30 design professionals across civil engineering, land planning, landscape architecture and Land surveying.

We had an amazing time celebrating our members at our Membership Appreciation Event on September 22, 2026! We were thrilled to have such a fantastic turnout.

Your continued support, membership, and willingness to get involved are what make LOBA so strong. We could not do it without you, and we are thankful to have such an incredible community of members!
