Happy Juneteenth!

Happy !

Today we honor the legacy of the last enslaved African Americans in Texas who were finally informed of their freedom, some two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. It was those people, and the generations of Texans who came after them, who made the bold declaration to celebrate this day, marking a reality we know far too well in this country: freedom may be delayed, but it will never be denied.

Though our fight for freedom sadly continues, today we pause to celebrate and embrace the joy of our ancestors who believed in the possibilities of a more promising tomorrow. And in that joy, we remain anchored, steadfast in our pursuit of true freedom and justice for all.

Our Programs Include:

Delta Academy (Grades 6–8)
Empowering young women through leadership, confidence-building, education, service, and personal growth.

Delta GEMS (Grades 9–12)

Helping young women achieve academic excellence, set goals, develop leadership skills, and become compassionate community leaders.

EMBODI (Grades6–12)
Empowering young men through mentorship, leadership development, life skills, and opportunities to reach their highest potential.

Together, we are building confident, informed leaders who know that excellence is within reach!

It’s Derby Party time!. Rain is in the forecast but we got you covered (literally), so come support a great cause, dress up in your Derby Day Attire (think spring prints, seersucker, fascinators, dramatic hats), predict and watch the Kentucky Derby horse races for great door prizes, dance with music from DJ Baby Bruh. We have food selections from some of your favorite local food truck vendors and your table and seating is ready for you.

Just bring your cooler of your favorite concealed beverages….

Our small chapter has given over $60,000 in scholarships to the Lake Oconee Area community so even if you aren’t able to come party with us, consider donating to the cause."
