‼️Flooding in Buckhannan, WV and Weston, WV‼️

We have been tracking this flood for a few days and have identified that additional support an supplies are needed. Silent Guardian is actively planning to send a team to assist in disaster relief and restoration. If you would like to help these communities, we would love your support!

We are attempting to send a team down to assist in the coming week.

We are looking for individuals with a heart to serve and make a difference in a stranger's life. If you would like to send donations, please send us a message. At this time we are waiting to hear what the greatest needs are as we dont want to over supply the community with donations they do not need.

The incident is ongoing, we are aware of at lease 2 deaths related to this incident at this time.

I want to give a huge shout-out to the crew of this Army Blackhawk. They are part of the Army Contingincy Air 12th Avation Battalion, Charlie Company out of Ft. Belvoir.

We happened to be driving by and my 7year old saw their aircraft sitting at our local airport we stopped to look from inside the building. We never expected what came next. The crew saw us and graciously offered to take my son out to see up close. I am always proud of our soldiers, but today with how they interacted with my son, was truly something special.

On top of all of this I was talking with one of the crew members and I mentioned Silent Guardian, he said he knew about our team and had seen some of what we are doing. I was supprised, and then not just proud of these soldiers, but also the Silent Guardian team. Its awesome when we get the chance to hear from others who we have never met that have seen the impact of what we are doing.

He even gave my son the patch in the picture from his uniform.

Sir, if you happen to see this, please send me a message, I'd love to connect and talk further. That goes for any of the crew. You made a huge impact on my son, and I greatly appreciate it!

God bless our troops, God bless our teams, God bless all who are suffering from disasters and the ones who work to help make a difference, and God bless the United States of America.

Thank you all again, I know my son will never forget this, and I'm already hearing how much he wants join the Army and fly Blackhawks too.

From the board of Silent Guardian and our volunteers, we wish you all a merry and safe Christmas, filled with warmth and love!

As we stop and appreciate this time of year, we ask that for at least one moment, you think about those who have lost loved ones, homes, friends, neighbors. The ones who are struggling this year to see the joy or don't feel like they know how to be merry anymore.

Disasters never only last a day or a year, they stretch our across many, sometimes they never seem to end. Our wish is that those who are in the midst of this, find hope and peace, even if the pain still lingers.

If you are in the midst of this, know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Feel free to reach out, if there is a way for us to help or support you, we will.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

We are so thankful for all of you and especially for those of you who have supported us, volunteered with us and our board who has worked tirelessly to take us from an idea to an organization that is actively working to help others!

There are many things to be thankful for this year and we can not wait to see what this next year will bring!
