From the board of Silent Guardian and our volunteers, we wish you all a merry and safe Christmas, filled with warmth and love!

As we stop and appreciate this time of year, we ask that for at least one moment, you think about those who have lost loved ones, homes, friends, neighbors. The ones who are struggling this year to see the joy or don't feel like they know how to be merry anymore.

Disasters never only last a day or a year, they stretch our across many, sometimes they never seem to end. Our wish is that those who are in the midst of this, find hope and peace, even if the pain still lingers.

If you are in the midst of this, know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Feel free to reach out, if there is a way for us to help or support you, we will.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

We are so thankful for all of you and especially for those of you who have supported us, volunteered with us and our board who has worked tirelessly to take us from an idea to an organization that is actively working to help others!

There are many things to be thankful for this year and we can not wait to see what this next year will bring!

Silent Guardian had the privilege of going to Chimney Rock, NC, last month and working with Spokes of Hope as they prepared for the grand re-opening of the town, one year after Hurricane Helene devastated the area. It is truly amazing to see how far the area has come, while still heartbreaking to see how far they must still go.

We are proud to be working with Spokes as their organization has been an excellent source of help and support in this area.

We will be going back to Chimney Rock from November 9-15. Please let us know if you would like to be a part of this mission to help others in need.

It's hard to believe that it has already been one yeah since Helene hit in Western North Carolina. We have had the privilege to have gotten to know Spokes of Hope and seen the work they are doing first hand. In-fact, Silent Guardian has a team working with them in Chimney Rock this week. It's not often, that you get to see real life super heros, and even though I know that they wouldn't agree with the title, that is exactly what the team at Spokes of Hope is. They have been helping Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Bat Cave since the beginning to rebuild. It's truly an honor to know them and we are proud to support them anyway we can.

This is a somber day. Today, we want to honor the lives lost in 2001. We want to remember the sacrifice of all of the first responders who lost their lives that day, running into danger while everyone else was running away. We also want to give honor to Charlie Kirk. Whether you agreed with him or not, he showed love and respect to everyone, regardless of who they were or what they stood for. This world needs help, and it needs love.

We are dedicated to loving others and running towards what many others will run away from. Thank you to those who have sacrificed so much for our American way of life. Thank you to the families of these heroes for sharing them with us.
