Wagging Tails meets Trotty By Nature… and it was nothing short of AMAZING! 🐾✨
Today, Wagging Tails experienced something that truly moved us.
We had the privilege of visiting Trotty By Nature—and hearing their story brought tears to our eyes.
This incredible nonprofit is led by Kimber, a 15-year-old with a heart, drive, and passion beyond her years. She’s not only helping rescue, rehab, retrain, and rehome off-the-track Thoroughbreds… she’s also running the books and leading the entire mission. Alongside her amazing mom, Tanya, they are doing something truly special.
One thing Tanya said will stay with us:
“We’re always pulling for the underdog.”
That couldn’t be more true.
So many of these horses are seen as disposable once their racing careers end. Kimber spoke about that reality—and it hit deep. But Trotty By Nature sees something different. They see value. They see potential. They see lives worth fighting for.
And they act on it.
We witnessed firsthand what real compassion looks like—the kind that isn’t always given to the “underdog.” It was powerful, emotional, and incredibly inspiring.
And in the middle of all that heart, there was so much joy too. The horses—named after old school rappers—like Loupac Shakur, Notorious BIG, Snoop Horse, and Uno brought such a lighthearted, genuine energy to the experience. It made everything feel even more real—pure, honest, and full of life.
Kimber—you are a hero.
Wagging Tails is beyond grateful to have experienced this mission. The passion behind it is beautiful… and the lives it impacts are even more so.
This is just the beginning. Wagging Tails and Trotty By Nature are already planning to partner again—and we can’t wait to see what’s ahead.
