📚 We're catching up on some news from our Sharing Success Fund that's well worth celebrating!

United Way of Central Kansas recently received a $2,500 Sharing Success grant from us to support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in Great Bend. 🎉

Through this program, 487 children (ages 0–5) will receive a free, high-quality, age-appropriate book mailed directly to their home each month. 💌📖

This grant will help keep books arriving in local mailboxes, supporting early literacy, school readiness, and a lifelong love of reading. 💙✨

We're proud to support programs that strengthen families, invest in young learners, and build brighter futures for our communities! 👏

United Way proudly partners with 18 local nonprofits working tirelessly to support families, children, seniors, and individuals during some of life’s hardest moments.
Because no one organization can do it alone.
But together, we can help our neighbors move from surviving… to thriving.

Laundry Love is coming up next Saturday! 💙

Need a hand with laundry? Join us for up to 5 loads of laundry, access to local resources, and friendly conversation in a welcoming space.

A huge thank you to Clara Barton Medical Center, Great Bend Kiwanis Club, and P&S Electric for making this program possible. Together, we are helping bring dignity, support, and connection to our community—one load at a time.

This time of year, we're out in our communities visiting with local businesses, organizations, and individuals, asking them to invest in the work of United Way of Central Kansas.

We know every donation is a choice. We know families, businesses, and organizations have many worthy causes they can support. That's why we believe it's important to share what your generosity makes possible.

In just the past month, because of donors who believe in this community:

📚 834 books found their way into the hands of local children through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

🧺 169 loads of laundry were washed and dried for 62 individuals through Laundry Love, providing dignity, relief, and one less worry for families facing difficult circumstances.

🚗 Two families received assistance with critical vehicle repairs, helping them get to work, take their children to school, and maintain their independence.

🎒 We are preparing for Stuff the Bus, ensuring local students have the supplies they need to walk into the classroom confident and ready to learn.

💙 Five local organizations received a total of $2,600 in Impact Grant funding to bring new ideas and programs to life in our communities.

🤝 And every month, nearly $10,000 is invested in our community partner agencies that provide food, shelter, transportation, crisis support, youth programs, services for older adults, and so much more.

Behind every number is a story. A child discovering the joy of reading. A parent making it to work because their car is running again. A student showing up on the first day of school prepared. A neighbor finding help during a difficult season.

This is what your support does.

It stays local. It strengthens families. It creates opportunities. It helps move people from surviving to thriving.

If you've supported United Way of Central Kansas in the past, thank you. If you're considering joining us this year, we hope you'll see the impact your gift can make.

Together, we're building a stronger Central Kansas—one family, one child, one opportunity at a time.

United is the Way.
