39 Children Reached. 5 Professions of Faith. One Powerful Gospel!

What happens when faithful volunteers step out into their community with a passion for sharing Jesus?

Lives can be changed!

At a recent outreach event in a park in Auburn, California, 39 children heard the Gospel, and five made professions of faith in Jesus Christ!

Through a fun and engaging community outreach, children and families had an opportunity to connect with ministry volunteers, participate in activities, and most importantly, hear the Good News of Jesus.

Behind every number is a child. A child who matters to God. A child who deserves the opportunity to hear that Jesus loves them.

And this is why we go!

We praise God for the volunteers, church partners, and supporters who made this outreach possible.

A Spiritual Birthday Worth Celebrating!

Something incredible happened at a recent Good News Club, and we just had to share!

After hearing the Gospel, more than a dozen children lined up, eager to talk with their leaders about Jesus. Some had questions about their relationship with Him, others wanted to share how much they loved Him, and some were hearing what it truly means to receive Jesus as their Savior.

Of those who received individual counseling, three children made professions of faith in Jesus Christ!

But here’s a moment that makes this story even sweeter.

After receiving a small booklet to help him remember his decision, one young boy hurried over to another leader to ask for the date. Why? Because he wanted to write down his “spiritual birthday!”

What a precious reminder that these aren’t just numbers or moments in a club. These are children hearing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ!

And the blessings didn’t stop there! During the club, children learned about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and what it means to trust and obey God, even when it’s difficult.

Pray for these three children as they begin growing in their faith, for the five others who received a clearer understanding of sin, and for every child attending a Good News Club who has yet to place their trust in Jesus.

ICE CREAM + JESUS = ONE SWEET PARTY!

Who says learning about Jesus can’t be FUN?!

Our Party Clubs are bringing excitement, laughter, and most importantly, the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ to children in our communities!

At one recent Ice Cream Party Club, children enjoyed a sweet treat while discovering an even sweeter truth:

“God’s love is sweeter than ice cream!”

And that’s what Party Clubs are all about! Through games, creative themes, Bible lessons, and meaningful connections, children are hearing about God’s incredible love for them!

🎉 OUR CEF NORCAL FAMILY IS GROWING!

Please join us in giving a BIG NorCal welcome to Shaylin Cummins! 🎉

We are celebrating alongside our Northern Counties Chapter as Shaylin steps into her new role as Interim Field Missionary!

What a beautiful reminder of how God raises up the next generation to carry the Gospel forward! From attending Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) camp as a child to serving on the mission field in Mexico and Zambia, Shaylin’s journey is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and calling.

And now, she’s continuing that journey right here with CEF NorCal!

Will you join us in praying for Shaylin as she begins this new chapter of ministry? May the Lord guide her steps, strengthen her faith, and use her life to reach many more children with the Good News of Jesus!

We're excited to announce our new team member, Shaylin Cummins!

Shaylin is jumping on as an interim Field Missionary to help out "wherever needed" in our vast chapter. We're grateful for her enthusiasm, love for Jesus, and dedication to see children reached with the Gospel.

Here's a little introduction from Shaylin:

I’m Shaylin Cummins and I have been involved in CEF for almost my entire life. At the age of 9 I attended Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) camp, where my passion was sparked to share the gospel. Alongside my loving family I have the privilege to continue sharing Jesus’ love with others every year. In the past the Lord called me to be a missionary to Mexico and Zambia where I had the opportunity to humbly serve him. Even today I am still following the Lord's calling which has brought me to be hired for CEF, bringing my connection with the ministry to full circle. I live to praise God and bring more children into his kingdom!

Fun facts:
I am also a traveling children's piano teacher.
Writing is something I love and one day I hope to publish a few novels!
There's nothing that can cheer me up more than taking a walk in the rain (except for Jesus!).

A GOOD NEWS CLUB TESTIMONY — A MUST READ!

We came across this testimony from a Good News Club teacher and just had to share it again:

“My husband grew up attending Good News Club in Flournoy (in the 80s). His teacher, Norma, taught club for many DECADES! She is my hero and God used both Norma and my husband to inspire me to reach out about teaching a club at our local school… It is such a natural ministry if you love God’s Word and if you love children.”

What a beautiful ripple effect.

A faithful teacher reached a child. That child grew up. And years later, his Good News Club story helped inspire someone else to begin teaching children about Jesus.

Ministry That Bears Fruit Abundantly

Across communities, nations, and generations, God is at work, and we get the privilege of planting and watering seeds of the Gospel while trusting Him to bring the growth.

A Sunday Pause

Today, many of us are gathering for church, spending time with family, sharing a meal, or simply finding a moment to rest.

In the middle of it all, we want to invite you to pause with us and give thanks.

Thank You, Lord, for our families.
For the friends who walk alongside us.
For our churches and communities.
For the people You have placed in our lives to encourage us, pray with us, and remind us that we are not alone.

And today, we especially thank God for the opportunity to be present in communities across Northern California, meeting children and families right where they are and sharing the hope and love of Jesus.

“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his steadfast love endures forever!” — Psalm 107:1

The Gospel is moving forward in the East Bay!

We love seeing men and women being equipped with the tools they need to reach and disciple the next generation. Every trained volunteer represents another opportunity for a child to hear the Good News of Jesus in a way they can understand.
