🥛 JUNE IS HERE & IT'S NATIONAL DAIRY MONTH! 🎉

Time to celebrate the most nutritious & most needed item in the fridge! Dairy is the #1 most requested item at food charities nationwide, and families and students are counting on it every single day. Calcium. Protein. Vitamin D. Dairy doesn't just taste good; it fuels the body, sharpens the mind, and keeps families strong.

This June, we're not just celebrating dairy. We're getting it to the people who need it most — and we need YOUR help to make it happen!

Every gift fills a fridge. Every fridge feeds a family. 🥛

Whole and 2% milk are no longer limited to lunch!

A new USDA Food & Nutrition Service (FNS) final rule, effective June 8, will allow whole and 2% milk to be served across additional child nutrition programs, creating more opportunities for students to access nutrient-rich dairy throughout the school day.

This is a major win for dairy. Expanding access across more parts of the school day helps reduce logistical challenges for schools and processors, making implementation easier and more realistic.

We’ll continue working with schools and processors across the Dairy MAX region to support adoption and expand access to milk options students know and love!

Session 2 of our MILK Emerging Leaders Program built on an already strong foundation, giving this group an even deeper look into the partnerships and innovation driving dairy forward.

From exploring cutting-edge research and sustainability efforts at Colorado State University AgNext and the CSU Spur Campus, to seeing large-scale dairy processing at Kroger Mountain View Foods, participants experienced the full spectrum of how dairy moves from farm to consumer.

Participants gained valuable insights from industry leaders, including Will Loux, Brock Herzberg, and Dairy MAX staff. sparking meaningful conversations around social media, opportunity, and the evolving role of dairy in today’s marketplace.

With each session, MILK participants continue to grow their perspective, strengthen their networks, and sharpen their ability to advocate for dairy. The momentum is real and so is the impact they’re ready to make.

Class 1 of MILK will conclude with Session 3 September 28-30 in Lubbock, Texas.
