A NEW CHAPTER OF LEADERSHIP

Welcoming Dr. Angela Johnson Home as Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Alliance for Greater Works is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Angela Johnson as our new Executive Director!

For Angela, this is more than a new role—it is a homecoming. She previously served Alliance for eight years as Managing Director, working alongside our founder, Sherrye Willis, to strengthen programs, cultivate partnerships, and expand Alliance’s impact.

Angela returns with 27 years of nonprofit leadership experience and a deep commitment to faith, justice, equity, and the flourishing of under-resourced communities.

As Alliance celebrates 25 years of strengthening leaders and organizations to improve the well-being of communities, we look forward with hope and confidence to this next chapter of service and impact.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our esteemed Founder and CEO, Sherrye Willis.

Sherrye Willis was a respected leader, a passionate advocate, and a guiding force whose impact will continue to be felt across our organization, the communities we serve, and the many leaders she faithfully supported. Her legacy of service, compassion, and unwavering commitment leaves an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her.
