🐴🐦 The Goochland Livestock 4-H Club kicked off the new club year with a fun and educational visit to Maidens Keep!

Amanda Brennan welcomed members to meet her pigeons, doves, chickens, pheasants, Trinity the horse, and her miniature horses, Daisy and Little Joey. Members enjoyed learning about bird breeding programs and had a blast guiding the mini horses through an obstacle course.

A huge thank you to Amanda Brennan for sharing her animals, knowledge, and time with our club. We're excited for another great year of learning, leadership, and hands-on experiences in Goochland 4-H!

💚 Meet Lily!

Lily is a dedicated member of the Goochland 4-H Livestock Club. Her 4-H journey began in 2022 when she attended a holiday baking workshop. After learning more about the opportunities 4-H has to offer, she quickly became involved in the Livestock Club and began attending Junior 4-H Camp.

Since then, Lily has continued to grow her 4-H experience by participating in a variety of programs, including 4-H Congress this past summer and our recent 4-H Youth Market Program.

Outside of 4-H, Lily stays busy as a member of the GHS Marching Band and the Theater Arts Program. She raises chickens, quail, and bees, and has a strong passion for marine science and wildlife conservation.

✨ Lily's story is a wonderful example of how 4-H helps young people discover new interests, develop valuable skills, and find their spark!

Stay tuned as we continue to highlight our awesome 4-Hers tomorrow!
