Do you know of an FFA member needing financial assistance to help start or expand their SAE? 🐷🌱🔧 National FFA's SAE Grant is now open, which offers $1,000 to starting projects, as well as larger-scale grants for continuing projects. To be eligible, applicants must be an enrolled FFA member in grades 7-12.

Grants are awarded primarily on demonstrated financial need and heavily rely on the advisor's statement establishing the financial need and eligibility of the applicant.

Last year, 13 California FFA members were awarded an SAE Grant. Someone you know could be next! Applications are due November 15. 🔗More information: ffa.org/participate/grants-and-scholarships/sae-grants/

🏡 A Historic Step Forward for Gonzales!

Tonight, LAFCo approved the annexation of Vista Lucia, a generational milestone for our community!

This approval will add 768 acres to our eastside, creating opportunities for:

🏘️ New housing for a range of income levels
🏡 More opportunities for homeownership and generational wealth
🎓 New schools, including a 12-acre school site for GUSD
🌳 79 acres of parks, recreation areas, and 7 miles of trails
🛣️ A new road connecting to the freeway
🚓 Public safety built into the project
💰 A project designed to pay its own way, without new taxes for current residents

Thank you to the City staff who have worked tirelessly to move this project forward and to every community member, including our youth, who showed up, shared their stories, and made their voices heard.

Tonight is a reflection of what’s possible when a community comes together to shape its future. 🧡

Gonzales is growing and our community is helping lead the way. 🌱🏡
