Our mission is to bring peer support and mental health first aid to veterans and first responders.

Our mission is to honor and remember our service members, first responder, and their families while promoting a healthy mindset through our interactive events. Our overall goal is to help improve the overall mental health of our veterans by providing mental health peer support and mental health first aid training. Our program allows others the ability to provide needed encouragement, support, and guidance. As a team, we host and participate in different peer support and trailing events year-round in the hopes of giving back to those who have given their lives, for our country. This not only includes our Military but, our first responders as well.

Yesterday we had the opportunity putting on a Mental Health training course for the Southwestern Adventist University, in Keen Texas. From college professors to soon to be graduates, their dedication to become better informed showed.

It was a great day and a great opportunity for us and those who attended.

*** Notification ***

We just received word of the passing of fellow Defender and K9 handler, SrA Connor McMillan, who passed unexpectedly on September 11th 2026. Conner was assigned to the 22nd Security Forces Squadron out of McConnell Air Force Base.

He deployed to Kuwait in October of 2024. There he worked long days but he made time to follow his new passion, supporting the K-9 unit. He supported the unit in many ways and as a decoy during training exercises he quickly earned the respect of his leadership in Kuwait and received letters of recommendations to be trained in this career field. After returning from his deployment in April of 2025 he was chosen to go to Lackland Air Force Base to begin his training as a K-9 handler successfully completing his training in October of 2025.

Today we honor and remember SrA Connor McMillan, for his service and ask that you keep his family, friends and fellow Defenders in your thoughts and prayers.

May You Never Be Forgotten!
