This past Saturday, 12 people joined teacher Lindsey Reyes to learn Intro to Relief Printmaking. We are endlessly amazed by the incredible artwork that workshop participants create in just one day! This group didn’t disappoint. Every person created something beautiful, personal, and unique. When the group shared with each other, there was a chorus of ‘wow’! It always helps to have a great teacher like Lindsey to guide the way.

It was our favorite kind of day on the farm. Calm, slow, creative, joyful, and supported by a stunning early summer day. Sending a big thank you to Lindsey and all the participants. We are inspired by each of you.

On August 1st, we are thrilled to welcome Maygen & The Birdwatcher, winners of the Midwest Country Music Organization’s ALBUM OF THE YEAR, to Everwood. Blending folk and country, “The Americana Dream,” is a deep embrace of the genre and a love letter to our planet.

There is no better place to experience their eclectic sound than inside our historic, 110-year-old barn turned intimate listening room. Admission is Pay-What-You-Can! Your ticket does double duty: half goes directly to the artists, and half funds our Aspiring Artists Fund supporting local school arts programs.

Big applause for Sara Meyer, Art Educator in the Clayton School District, the recipient of an Aspiring Artists Fund grant on Saturday night!

Sara is helping her students see their world through a new lens—quite literally.

has been looking to rebuild its yearbook program and offer dedicated photography courses for students. The only thing standing in the way? Access to digital cameras.

Thanks to this funding, that barrier is being removed. This project will allow students to get hands-on experience learning photography, documenting school life, and developing creative and technical skills that will serve them well long after graduation.

Please join us in congratulating Sara for her dedication to expanding creative opportunities for her students!

What a perfect night to kick off our 2026 Artist Series! Courtney Hartman, S. Carey, and Ben Lester filled the barn with breathtaking music, and seeing our community come together (old friends and new) was everything we could have hoped for. The homemade cookies from a couple of our generous guests made the evening even sweeter. Thank you all for launching the summer in such joyful style.

The farmstead is coming alive with spring color, birdsong, and new energy, and today we officially begin Season 14.

Two artists arrive to the Retreat, one traveling from New York and the other from Northern Minnesota. This Saturday, we kick off our Artist Series with the first concert of the season.

Thank you to everyone who helps make this place possible. We can’t wait to share another season of music, art, learning, and connection with you.

Here’s to Season 14.

Please join us in welcoming Ellie Eklof to Everwood Farmstead as our 2026 Artist Retreat Administrator!

Ellie is an interdisciplinary artist originally from outside Siren, Wisconsin, and a 2025 graduate of UW–Stout with a BFA in Studio Art. After spending the past year living, painting, and adventuring along the Downeast coast of Maine, they returned home to Northwestern Wisconsin to help welcome this season’s artists to the retreat.

Ellie brings with them a deep love for folk craft, circus history, taxidermy, beach combing, cats, and hot black coffee. Their recent accomplishments include receiving the Studio Art Solo Thesis Show honor at UW–Stout, serving as Student Artist in Residence during 2024–25, and completing a solo DIY exhibition in Prospect Harbor, Maine.

We’re thrilled to have them as part of the Everwood community this season!

Thank you to the Hudson Star-Observer for helping spread the word about Everwood Farmstead and Courtney Hartman’s upcoming performance on June 6.

Courtney’s newest album, With You, grew directly from time spent at Everwood during an artist retreat. It’s a meaningful reminder of what can happen when artists are given space to slow down, reflect, and create in community.

Courtney will be joined by S. Carey and Ben Lester for this intimate barn concert opening Everwood’s 14th season.

A few other events this season have tickets remaining:

• July 18 — “Country Dance” workshop with Howdy Partner Dance
• Aug. 1 — Maygen & The Birdwatcher
• Aug. 15 — CULTIVATE fundraiser featuring Leslie Vincent
• Sept. 26 — “Podcasting: Planning, Hosting & Editing” workshop with Julie Censullo
