Richfield Rotary members, The Schneeberger Group of Keller Williams realty and Dave & Lisa Hintermeister of TCF Home Loans provided many volunteers on May 9th & 16th to handout and pick up food donation bags for the Richfield City-Wide Food Drive. The response from Richfield residents was terrific! Steve Schneeberger's office was full to the brim with donation bags for VEAP. Stay tuned for the total number in pounds donated and THANK YOU to all who participated, including bag donations from Richfield Menards, Richfield Target and Kowalski's of Minneapolis. Richfield continues to thrive through the generosity of this amazing community.

Stay safe Richfield! Stay at home

For at least the next two weeks Richfield residents will be hunkering down to comply with Governor Tim Walz’s stay at home order, which was issued at a press conference this afternoon. The order requires Minnesota residents to stay home, unless traveling for essential needs or business, and requires businesses not engaged in essential activities to cease all activities except for minimum basic operations.

Fantastic meeting today with special guest Mark Skipper. Mark shared an inspirational story of scaling the US Bank building in Minneapolis. The story started with a Double Dog Dare fundraiser with The Boy Scouts of America and finished with Mark putting 2 feet firmly back on the ground after conquering a 23 story building and more than a few nerves.
Please join us at our next meeting, February 6th at Local Roots in Richfield.

Richfield Rotarians love to give service in our community. We had lots of fun Saturday morning volunteering at the Elf Shoppe sponsored by Richfield United Methodist Church. We helped with gift selection and wrapping. There were excited children and parents, lots of gifts to choose from, piles of wrapping paper and ribbons, and smiles all around.

Richfield Rotary recently awarded dictionaries to Deb Verber’s third grade classroom at Blessed Trinity School and taught a short lesson about what it means to give service. We give dictionaries to students as a service project because we know that as they grow up they will have a greater opportunity to be successful if they are good readers and writers. Our motto in Rotary is “Service Above Self”
