Waldo is spending some time away from the shelter today while the Animal Control Officer is working on some continued education training. Waldo came to the shelter after his owner passed away. He has been with us over a month now and is still as terrified as he was on day 1. He doesn’t want to be touched or petted and runs when attempted. Waldo will need an extended decompression time in his new home. Today he’s playing a great game of the floor is lava. He does not want to leave the couch. If he gets off the couch he quickly runs back to the couch in a matter of seconds. After 3 hours in the office he’s slowly starting relax but still does not want to receive affection or attention. Waldo is fearful but has not shown any type of aggression. Please send us a message or give us a call if interested in meeting Waldo.

Duke needs adopted soon. He is not doing well in his kennel. He spends a lot of time pacing back and forth. Being stuck in a kennel is not fair to him or any dog. He got away from the shelter for a lil bit today. He went on a long walk and explored the creek. Duke was okay walking in the water but didn't like the idea of going for a swim. Duke walked very well on a leash and didn't pull hard at all. He enjoyed his time away from the shelter. Duke's adoption fee is being sponsored meaning it will not cost you anything to adopt. Duke is guessed to be around 4 years old. He will be fixed, vaccinated and dewormed. Give us a call to meet Duke or any of our other shelter dogs. The shelter is over capacity and needs adoptions very very soon! (918) 322-8110

We are a week away from Glenpool’s firework show on Saturday June 27th. Start making plans now to keep your pets safe at home. Your pets should have identification on, current phone numbers listed for microchips and a safe place to spend their time during the loud and scary fireworks. Identification is simple as writing your phone number on their collar. Walmart and pet stores have low cost engraving machines to make ID tags. Let’s protect our pets and keep em safe.

Huge Thank You to The Coffee Grinder for giving us a place to showcase our adoptable cats. If it wasn’t for this small family owned coffee shop we would not be able to adopt out as many cats as we have.
